In retrospect, it's hilarious that Stratt made everybody on the vat speak English in deference to Grace being monolingual

Because with how quickly Grace was able to pick up Eridian, even with literally NOTHING about it being familiar the way a human language would be, they probably could have chosen Mandarin as the universal language on Stratt's Vat and he would have just. Learned it.

I think it'd be fun if Grace did lose his mind a little but on the Hail Mary right, like maybe the amnesia and the side effects of the drug plus isolation and extreme stress and sometimes he experiences vivid hallucinations in between memory dumps so when they get the videos back it becomes very clear that sometimes he's having conversations with people who aren't there and oh my god the alien is real but also what the fuck Grace and the whole timelike the fate of humanity is teetering on the overburdened shoulders of a guy who is obviously not all there and holy shit he still saves the planet but RIP Dr. Grace out here doing whole v-logs about the ongoing argument with Olyesa over her stolen vodka and the debate about mustard on Ramen with Yao and like - he does consciously know they're dead, right, thats clearly not a thing he forgets and yet-

Because Yao and Ilyukhina always show up when Grace is really really really tired.

And Rocky has the human-thinking-machine and he’s reading up on ghosts and paranormal activity and does a video while Grace is asleep like.... Earth ship haunted. Yao and Ilyukhina are obviously around to watch Grace, because Grace is all alone.

Can I just emphasize that not everyone reading this has yet encountered the information that injuries require food, hydration, and sleep? I think the way many people associate rest and injury is that you rest the injury itself to avoid making it worse, but overlook that the healing process itself requires rest regardless of if not-rest directly injures it further.

Also exercise is a form of controlled injury so that as your body heals it heals stronger. You also need food-hydration-rest for strength and cardiovascular improvements after exercise.
