Mark wrapped his arms around him slowly, hiding his face against his chest in an attempt to hide his pain. He had no way of putting on a smile right now, not that Jackson would expect him to. Honestly, all he wanted at the moment was to stay in his arms and forget everything. He wanted everything to return to normal, his mother as healthy as she had been just a week before. He knew that wouldn’t happen, it was wishful thinking, but he could pray.
“Photoshoots, interview, right.” He murmured, remembering his schedule was almost the same. “I’ve got one with you and BamBam,” he remembered, feeling his body relaxing at the feeling of his fingers running through his hair. His eyes closed, his hand moving to the front of them to pull on the strings of Jackson’s hoodie, straightening them up before tying and untying them over and over to keep himself distracted.
He thought for a moment, “at least we have a photoshoot together tomorrow, and we can hang out, right? Once we’re both done with everything we should plan something,” he knew he shouldn’t be doing anything, not after the news he just found out, but he needed to keep himself busy, or it would get to him too much, and he’d end up breaking again.
It wasn’t hard to see that every small repetitive movement he did was just to distract his mind. Jackson didn’t need to be his best friend to know that, hell a stranger on the street would be able to find the meaning behind his movements from a mile away. Still, that didn’t make it any better on Jackson, mostly because he knew he was the best person to comfort and distract Mark in times like these, but... Now he had to actually do something about it. Not that he would have an issue with it, he just felt guilty that he would have to leave Mark alone while he tried to fix whatever he could.
“Ah-I.... Yeah, after the photoshoot we can hang out.” He already had an idea in his head, probably not the same one Mark had. Not that he could bring it up however. For his plans to actually work, he’d need to do some major begging, and even still he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to pull it off... Well, at least with permission. He wasn’t above sneaking around for the benefit of his best friend.
“We might not have long to just relax and hang out, but I’ll be sure you aren’t alone for a second. After I’m done with this thing I have today, I’ll be by your side every step you take.”
