Once I was in India witnessing #plastic #pollution and I wondered if there was an #organic #waterbottle. It turns out there was and there still is an #ecological technology and it's this bottle that in #brazil is known as CA-BA-ÇA. In #México, it is known as #guaje.

.in some parts of the world, it is known as #african #calabash because it indeed came from #Africa, the birthplace of civilization. It is known in the scientific world by the name #lagenariasiceraria.

it is a #vine which produces a fruit that can be turned into a vessel for carrying liquids. I've been using it, making my own and sharing it with the world for almost two years now I've learned a lot from it.

First, the #guaje cabaça breathes. it has micropores through which hot vapors escape slowly, allowing the interior liquid to be cooled, much like how an air conditioning works.

second, the cabaça has an intestine, a gut if you will. You may ferment drinks with it and this will develop as you learn about probiotic fermentation.
