@/goyangireels﹕hi guys!! so here's part 3 the last part of this mini smau! i had soo much fun writing this. alsoo ik i mentioned a fender strat but i was too lazy to find two pics of the same guitar 😓 (soo ignore the fact that the guitars r different) anyways.. likes and reblogs are very much appreciated!! 🩷🩷 ANDD huge creds to @tiurftsrifeht for writing the written portion to part 3 (she insisted on writing it since i almost decided not to include a written portion).

“okay, seems class is in session. let’s begin teach!” you flash a shy grin, holding yourself from showing all 32 teeth.
“haha,” his eyes form upside down smiles amidst a giggle. “so, wanna pick up from where we last left off?” he thinks for a second “right, you were working on this verse” he mumbles.
you nod “whatever you say teach!” and continue wearing the same grin. you recognize the same drowsiness in your mind and the same knocking against your heart from last lesson. now's not the time to get distracted, is it!
you know stella would poetically describe this feeling as: a gushing, pushing, and pulling of masses of water unsatisfied when it finally reaches a dam. and you could almost imagine yourself denying that you, y/n, would ever acquire such feelings, until you look up to meet eyes with edwards.
well, you’re mistaken.
“ready?” martin asks.
“ready.”
you take a seat on the ground merely three inches away from his hip. merely two as he scooches closer.
now, an inch away as he begins to pick your hand off the floor and lets your fingers strum against the strings. “okay good!”
you let your hand rest off to the side again, but he is swift to bring it back to the strings. “in this next verse, the strumming pattern changes slightly like this.” martin’s voice clings to air like a low hum as he holds onto your hands. you notice how soft they feel. for a minute or so his hand continues to hover above yours while you familiarize yourself with the pattern, strumming and strumming.
focus y/n! no half-assed learning!
he catches the look on your face when he lifts his head up. your concentrated lips. your stilled, furrowed eyebrows that are itching him to soften with a light touch of the forehead. but hey! teaching is your job edwards! he lets the voice tickle his ear.
yet, for another two hours, he fails to listen at his own discretion. he would’ve exploded if you had caught him taking advantage of those brief but worth-it glances while you were glued to the guitar.
comes the end of the session, which you’re not ready to say bye, but you thank him anyway– almost with a slight bow.
“you know i’ve kept tally on how much thank you’s and thanks’ i’ve heard from you today?” martin says.
“what?”
“joking. but of course, i’m thankful too. what else would i be spending my time on?”
“well… i’m glad that’s the case.”
“anyway, i’ve got to get headed home, I have some plans with family.”
“got it teach!”
and he flashes an i’ll be going smile before the shut of the door.
huff.
you fill a cold glass of water from the fridge and put a hand against your cheek. warm and flushed. goodness.
you plop onto the sofa and sink into your own weight. a few minutes staring into the distance when you realize that now, it’s the nothingness between you and your wall.
a notification buzzes from your phone beside you.
> hey i think you left something
< i left something in my own house?
> something like that
> ima be back in a few
confused, but you’re sure your favorite sight is him coming through the door. so not that it matters at all.
the front door is still unlocked and when you see edwards it’s no surprise his face is painted with a grin that could be described as a combination of urgency and giddiness.
“so?” martin says.
“so, so?”
“i think you forgot this, ma’am?” he puckers up and points to his lips like a child. a very foolish one.
“excuse me?” dumfounded.
“sorry, was that too childish of me?” he felt the back of his neck get sweaty. “i’ll leave now–” you catch the color of his cheeks before he turns around. a deeper flush of red. maybe you two are equals now that his face is burning like yours, if not greater, during the entire session.
“no,” you let out a breath and chuckle at once. “c’mere,” you scoot to give him space on the already spacious sofa.
you face each other, and you lift your hand, beating him to it.
flick. you flick his forehead.
“ow! y/n why did you do that?”
“stop complaining like an ass, and give me a kiss.”
“and you could’ve just said that but, yes! no complaints ma’am!”
