Well, Hello There

(I figure I should make an introductory post just in case more people stumble onto my blog for whatever reason)

Hello! I'm Grace, aka gracefulblabber! I'm the author of Critical Call (a Star Trek Hospital AU) and YouLive (dark Dan and Phil contemplation of parasociality), as well as a variety other fics.

I meander through fandoms at will, and usually write fanfiction to accompany my obsessions. In my work, I enjoy reflecting on parasociality, obsession, projection, and self denial, as those have all been strong themes in my life. But I also enjoy writing fluff and smut sometimes :)

Offline, I spend my time reading pretentious books (which I frequently discuss on my Substack), running, and caring for my hobby farm. Oh, and I work in a hospital lab. I'm pretty boring TBH, and that's how I like it :)

I'd love more fandom friends, but I'm very skittish about chronically online reactionary nonsense: I have too much animal shit to scoop to worry about cancelling someone for wrongthink, sorry!!! But I LOVE being weird and nerdy about my various interests and I will NEVER have a problem with someone freaking out joyfully about Star Trek, Dan & Phil, or another of my multitude of obsessions. Online communities should be about FUN!!

My Dan and Phil fic series "YouLive" (Introducing YouLive, Escalation/Desecration, and Vivisection) about the logical extreme horror of parasociality has randomly popped off in the past couple days. I'm suddenly getting TONS of comments (well, tons for me) and they seem genuine, not spam. Obviously it's wonderful: those comments make my day. But I'm wildly confused. Is it circulating on Twitter or in a Discord group or something??? I'm just curious if anyone can shed some light on this.

Honestly I don't think my YouLIve series went far enough. They should've fucked a phan on a livestream for money. There should have been some weird creepy in person shit. There should have been sex with women or pussy eating and intense self hating. I could've gone farther and maybe I need to write another version where it goes farther. Where it's worse. Because every time I watch a DnP video I have so much fun and also think "god this could get so bad"
