I have so many Pet Anxiety Nightmares, here are some of the most common:

one of my parrots becomes injured

one of my parrots has a mysterious illness

I suddenly realize I’ve been neglecting some basic and obvious need of all my pets and I’m a terrible pet owner

I’m suddenly responsible for an additional parrot I wasn’t prepared for

I’m suddenly responsible for MANY additional parrots I wasn’t prepared for oh my god there are so many of them is one of them missing already???

for some reason all my birds are outdoors without their harnesses at the same time, oh no

Ripley gets a job

The most vivid Ripley dream I’ve ever had was the one in which he had a job as a bank teller. I had to drive him to the bank near our house every day for his shift at work, where he had a little perch behind the counter, next to his computer.

He was much more efficient than the other tellers and made a lot more money than they did, but his customer service was terrible, and his coworkers resented him for this. Sometimes he would ignore customers or rip up their checks, and this came out of his paycheck, but he was making so much money playing online poker during his breaks that it didn’t really make a difference.

His bank account balance was more than enough to pay off our mortgage, but I didn’t want to pressure him into doing that because he’d earned the money himself and I didn’t want him to think I felt entitled to it.

Halfway through the dream he also developed a superpower which allowed him to make anyone or anything disappear by saying “undo (thing).” He made all kinds of things disappear: his cage door, food he didn’t want, inconvenient customers. People started to fear him and he became known as “The Undue Bird.”

The dream ended abruptly when I was picking him up from the bank and he said “undo Earth.”

Love that dome on top of the house, and there are also solar panels on the roof.

1990 house in Waitsfield, VT was designed and built by Yestermorrow founder John Connell. It's supposed to be "creative, whimsical, but also highly efficient and exciting." 2bds, 2ba, 1,594sqft, $495k.

The first thing you encounter is the very different front door. There's a little mud area in the corner.

The living room is straight ahead, or you can take the stairs.

The stairs lead up to the kitchen and a sitting area.

The kitchen is up a few stairs and there's another staircase to the bedrooms.

This kitchen is exactly like another home I posted in Vermont. It has to be by the same architect. Same striped wood counter with the same "V" shape jutting out.

In fact, the whole layout of this floor is the same.

I guess you'd call this a family room.

The other house didn't have this counter, it was much a smaller home. The 3 stairs on the side are for Bd. #1.

Fancy. Inlaid on the stairs.

The half bath must be tucked in by the stairs somewhere.

And, then you go back down to the bedroom. Those stairs are terrible.

Why is there a slanted floor and an open clothes rack?

The room has sliders to the terrace that we saw outside.

The other stairs come up to the 2nd bedroom. What is that hump in the floor? They aren't using the 2nd bd., but they have an office area set up in the corner.

The bedroom is basically empty. On the left, does that just drop down to the floor below?

This bar is weird.

There're little sculptural features on the cement columns.

Believe it or not, that's the Mad River running alongside the 1.77 acre property.
