As of July 4th 2018, the Internet as we know it might be dead for good.
The European Parliament is passing a new Copyright Directive.
Article 13 #CensorshipMachine will impose widespread censorship of all the content we share online. Art, fanfiction, parodies, remixes, mashups, memes, etc.. Anything that you do not hold the rights over will be taken down.
Article 13 would force all online platforms to police and prevent the uploading of copyrighted content, or make people seek the correct licenses to post that content. Internet platforms hosting large amounts of user-uploaded content must monitor user behaviour and filter their contributions to identify and prevent copyright infringement.
Such filters will be mandatory for platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, Reddit and Instagram, but also much smaller websites.

This doesn’t just affect Europe. The content creators you love are going to be in hot water for sharing their art and writing with you online. Any and all content that doesn’t belong to us will be filtered. Even memes are at risk, as the person who took the original photo may want to file complaints against any platform that allows it to be used without permission. But it goes even further than that.
Last Tuesday (19th June 2018) a group of more than 70 people who have played important roles in building the internet and developing it (Tim Berners-Lee, Vincent Cerf, Jimmy Wales, Mitchell Baker…) into what it is today addressed an open letter to the members of the European Parliament:
“As creators ourselves, we share the concern that there should be a fair distribution of revenues from the online use of copyright works, that benefits creators, publishers, and platforms alike.
But Article 13 is not the right way to achieve this. By requiring Internet platforms to perform automatic filtering all of the content that their users upload, Article 13 takes an unprecedented step towards the transformation of the Internet from an open platform for sharing and innovation, into a tool for the automated surveillance and control of its users. […] The damage that this may do to the free and open Internet as we know it is hard to predict, but in our opinions could be substantial.”

Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a “ fast lane” of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. [1] The proposal reverses the FCC’s previous commitment to net neutrality and open internet and allows ISP’s like Comcast or Verizon to slow down and censor services that don’t pay the toll.
We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim. But there is still hope. The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through. If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.
We need to stop the FCC now. Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesday’s announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward. [2]

I try to keep the things I reblog as blog/mun-centric as possible, but this is something I just can’t let slide.
I’ve been following this cause since last year. I’ve signed petitions, I’ve called representatives, I’ve been to protests, the whole nine yards.
This right here? This is not a joke. This is seriously happening, guys.
Remember the Wikipedia shutdown? That was to protest this right here. If you haven’t taken action against this yet, frankly, what is wrong with you? If this doesn’t get stopped, we’re going to lose the thing that brings us all together unless we shell out huge sums of cash to these corrupt bastards.

Been thinking about starting, but there seems to be a lot of inventory management and various tabs for sale.
So what should a newbie player get?
And do they offer the various tabby things in bundles? Like “Get the cards, currency, and that other one tab at the same time for a reduced price” sort of thing?
First: Yes, there’s a bundle that gives you a Currency, Essence, Card and Quad tab in one bunch. I think it’s 15 bucks? Maybe 20?
What should a new player get? Currency Tab.
I actually consider that mandatory, it’s the biggest life-saver in the game. The Currency Tab lets you hold 5,000 of each Currency item in a single tab. Before that tab existed, players who’ve been playing for years had 16 (I shit you not) tabs filled with Currency items. There’s like 30 different currencies, and they stack anywhere from 1-40 depending on their rarities. More rare stuff stacks less. Chaos Orbs, for example, stack to 10. Divine Orbs stack to 6. Etc.
In the Currency Tab? They all stack to 5,000. Go nuts.
Second most important for inventory management? Essence Tab. Not mandatory, but if you wanna buy a few things that you’ll never regret, there you go.
There’s about 85 different Essences in the game and they all only stack to 3. They WILL eventually clutter up your inventory. The Essence Tab lets you stack all of them to 10 and will give you a button to auto-combine any groups of 3 that you have to the next tier up.
Third most important? Cards Tab.
Every single content patch adds anywhere from 3-9 more Card sets to the game, and each one only stacks as many cards are in the set. A card set that requires 11 of the same type stacks to 11. A set that only requires 1 stacks to 1. There’s currently about 250 different card sets. So, not mandatory, but it’s nice to have a tab that stacks every different set up to 5,000 regardless of how many of that card are in the set.
Fourth most important? Quad Tabs.
Wait for a stash tab sale and buy 1-3 Quad Tabs when one happens, you won’t regret having all that extra space if you really get into the game. Use them as Unique tabs (Uniques are PoE’s ‘legendary’ items).

Have not touched that since the league stone league, i think which was after the essence league. Hopefully we will see some nice changes and see even more broken builds. I miss srs, haven't seen it easy or cheap to build.

You know what, I see a few outdoor public nude shots a lot but the nature around the model(s) can really help show how beautiful nature is and how even in the current modern age nature is as vibrant and alive as it was in the past. Smaller in size yet still a valuable jewel of life.
