#ive kept my old sketchbooks not only because im a sentimental freak but also because i know when i was drawing in them i was so happy #and everything i drew was because i wanted to and i liked it. my characters my fanart my aus i only shared with myself #it was all done because it was genuinely from my heart and i was enjoying myself when at the time everything was awful for me #i would never genuinely see my old artwork and think 'god this is awful this is cringe' because i remember that it was me that did it #also imagine saying this stuff to a kid. imagine that artwork belonging to someone else and their age respective to yours when you drew it.#would you still say its bad? or that its cute and wish for them to keep improving?
