I was going for a character design similar to Euline from Wimp Witch, with 2000's era animation. Bottom left is the first idea I had that spurred the rest of these.

Made the terrible (and stupid) mistake of updating cracked drawing software so now I'm learning how Krita works. It's a little cumbersome atm since the layout is different and I haven't figured out how to fully customize it yet, but I'm sure if I just buckle down and watch some tutorials I'll get used to it in no time :3

This year has been rough for me. In January we had to put my oldest dog (Bear) Down, and then my grandpa passed the following month

But then just last month my dog Speckles was having issues breathing. It turned out he had fluid flooding his lungs due to cancer.

I know it sounds cruel but his death has hit the hardest for me because I really thought he at least had a couple more years left in him...

I just saw so much of myself in Speckles and I keep thinking about how I could have done more for him. Not in his death, but for his life.

He was my dog, y'know

Before anyone asks, I depicted him as a tripod even in "heaven" because loosing his leg didn't really change him. It only made him like the vet because he finally understood they're there to help him (as much as they could)

So I was clearing out some old Clip Studio Paint Files and these are some of the sketches I had in them. My focus has been dog shit as of late, so it was nice to look back at old projects and "clean my work space" so to speak.
