A great coming of age story embedded with all the same things I thought about when I was coming of age, psychedelics, wisdom traditions, travel, sex, legends, and exploration. Also frustrations with the failures of society, authority, and the status quo. The book reminded me to never forget those times or those feelings as they made me who I am today. Seftel paints a heady, autobiographic picture and I am thankful to him as an author who can help us remember a time when our minds were so free to wonder, absorb, and imagine.

First Edition. A long time coming, I’m delighted to share my story with all of you now. A tale of personal experience that has taken me many years to understand, let alone narrate for your entertainment, education, and enlightenment.

A book of 7 chapters, a cosmic adventure and coming of age story is unveiled. I lived it, for the love of it, and felt it valuable to write about it.

Over the edge, the ground had disappeared. Into a black hole I had stepped through a wormhole between Earth and Sky. The sensation of floating was deceptive, fooling even the winds. In total stillness the ground rose up to meet me, and like lightning I struck the Earth. Where the hard wet sand ended and I began was hard to decipher. A feather turned to stone. The flight was fossilized, impact swallowing me whole. I had seen myself falling many times—childhood nightmares recurring somewhere between dreaming and being awake. I had seen my impact, leaving my body and observing myself from above as I floated through the air. Always falling into my own intense fear, encircled by an epiphany as I plummeted towards my oblivion. So many repetitive childhood nightmares and now real, I was falling through all of them, waking into a reality of the dream.

The Comet’s Tale is about Earth technology, ancient prophecy, spiritual initiation and secret ceremonies. A cosmic story of self discovery and art, this intrepid voyage of accidental awakening and out of body experience comes to light beneath the rays of the Great Comet of 1996. Riding the millennial fever, an art student voyages to the spiritual heart of the cosmos- the young traveler on a planetary quest at the end of Time.

Heading East to West, space begins and new worlds are born; reality shifts shape, as multi dimensional secrets are revealed in this 'stranger than fiction' meta-memoir.

  There were many stories dating back centuries about that Hill. It was said there was a gateway to the spirit world, a hidden door to a dimension inhabited by the nature spirits presided over by Pan. The otherworld was mostly unseen by human eyes, but a few had passed through its veils, scribing inspiration and bringing back the knowledge for future generations. Truth be told there were magic hills all over Britain, places where spirits had initiated man in ancient rites of passage. Some of them had been known about for centuries. It was the geomagnetic paths in the earth that linked them and us together. Out of the lodges and secret chapels, rites and rituals were performed, opening wide these hidden doors on hilltops, in cliff sides and glens. These were the secret places and only those with the inner invitation could find their way through.

The great sacrifice could never be compared, and for those who know not what they do, she would gladly steal that rare lamb into her dominion, devouring truth with love and love with truth until all was stripped away. Raw and revealing, painful as it was true, she had cast me under her spell, pulling me into her cave of secrets, sharing her ocean bed. Her every touch had been fire, burning passion disintegrating in its own heat ‘til there was nothing left of me. Flayed, flesh pulled from bone, heart from mind, body from soul, tethered and tattered on the ocean bed in ancient desert, unattached to time, space or form. Pulled apart, untangled, friends, family, ambition and desire had melted away. All I could see was a white light piercing my mind like the sun, a golden crescent of diamonds squeezing my brain.
