Ariadne: disciple of Halmarut, student teacher, scumbag post-grad psychonaut
Her arc is concerned mostly with breaking her out of a self-imposed Labyrinth (represented by the physical space of the city of Amaurot as well as the metaphysical depressive episode she's been stuck in for Several Decades). She feels compelled (by her own volition, her own excuses) to stay in Amaurot, to stick to her routines, even if it's a source of agony to be stuck in this pattern. She has certain responsibilities that she will Not shirk (her classes, mostly), but she also uses them as an excuse to stay behind. This is not to say that she won't leave entirely: she'll run out to a bonfire or go out with friends once in a while, but she's not yet taking any steps to extract herself on her own.
