My latest hyperfixation has me writing again!
But...does anyone else feel guilty when they become less involved in one fandom and move on to another? I've been a star wars fan for so long, I don't know if it's that I'm currently just burnt out on sw media or what, but it's not currently filling me with excitement and joy.
Maybe I just need a break from it. And that's what other fandoms are for, right?
Either way, I'm just happy I'm writing again. I feel like it's been a long time since I've even wanted to so I shouldn't judge myself too harshly.
you ppl love villains/morally grey characters UNTIL they're a woman, then all of a sudden they are annoying, evil and irredeemable
If you didn't want to be assimilated into my found family then you should have killed me when you had the chance.
Luke Skywalker, to Mara Jade
The shirt is too big. Wait. Just a moment.
DESTINED WITH YOU 연애는 불가항력 (2023)
Mara Jade commission for @jediscribe!!
(commissions are open!)
In my spare time, I'm a vocalist. Not, like, a great one or anything, but I'm halfway decent. Enough so that I'm asked to sing for small, local events.
Now, as a for-fun singer, you know what would absolutely make my day? Or my year? Or my life, honestly? Karaoke with Kim Woosung, guitarist and vocalist for The Rose, and Ok Taecyeon, Kdrama hottie and member of 2PM. Both have fantastic but completely different voices and I love it. They're both just so talented.
Emperor Palpatine: Status report on Skywalker?
Mara Jade: Target has been taken out.
Emperor Palpatine: Very go-
Mara Jade: It was a lovely restaurant. Candlelit dinner. He proposed to me at the end of it. My last name is Skywalker now.
There are two kinds of Star Wars fans:

still thinking about the brainrot that fast fashion has caused in people, like i made this pair of pants that are black and white with a cool flowery design, and an acquaintance saw them and said "wow i'd pay like 20 dollars for you to make me a pair" and i could barely think with how utterly horrified i was at that; i told them that 20 dollars wouldn't even cover the materials, let alone the hours of work that went into cutting, sewing, ironing, hemming, altering, etc. they just had this look on their face when i told them that, when i said i wouldn't make them a pair for even 100 dollars because that was still way too low of an amount, a look that said "you're crazy for thinking that those cost 100 dollars" and maybe i am crazy but holy shit, 20 dollars for a pair of handmade, durable, lined pants fitted specifically to your measurements? 20 dollars for upwards of 60 hours of work? 20 dollars for several yards of high-quality fabric, thread, and buttons? 20 dollars???
I have had the exact same experience with Crochet. My college roommate was begging me to crochet her a huge queen sized blanket for her bed at home. I told her I'd be willing, but it would be expensive, not even just for the cost of materials (which would easily be 100$+ depending on the yarn she wanted) but the sheer time and physical strain it would take for me to make what she wanted, which was a huge queen blanket with cabling. When I told her it would cost atleast 600$ for her to buy it from me, she was floored. And then proceeded to spend the next few hours combing through Etsy to prove that was an excessive cost. Obviously, she failed because 90% of the blankets on Etsy are priced fairly properly and they all start at, like, $800 for a queen sized with just your basic-ass stitch. So, yeah, people have NO idea the kind of time, energy, thought and effort that go into handmade items in general, but especially clothes and blankets, cuz' they can just buy the basic shit at any store for an abysmally small amount(thanks capitalism).
Also, you should never underappreciate when you receive a gift from a crafter, because that is a fucking honor with how much of their own personal time, money and energy they put into it.
DUUUUUUDE! Get it South Korea!
Netflix has provided immense opportunity for South Korean actors — but just for those at the top. The company declines to meet with the acto
That's the article directly. Please give it a read.
If South Korean actors and writers strike against Netflix, Netflix would be COMPLETELY fucked.
If this spreads to animators it would halt the entire anime industry and severely affect the Korean and Japanese economies.
So let's get this ball rolling and fix some wage theft.
“i could fix him” well i could watch him spiral into bloodlust and madness instead. it would be significantly more fun
I really do love fictional men. And by "fictional men," I mean completely made up characters in books, movies, and TV. But I also, 100 percent, mean actors and musicians and models and fancasts because I've lived long enough on this Earth to understand that those men have a separate private persona that I will know nothing about (nor should I, honestly). I get to have a crush on the curated public persona - the made up, make-up'd version - and that's ok. It's fun, actually.
poll for Americans specifically; (sorry) when you need to boil water for tea or whatever what do you do
Use a kettle to boil it on the stove
Microwave a cup of water

Ok but ep 6 of Goblin did not have to go directly for my heart like that with the guide dog waiting for it's blind owner to pass away so they could go to the afterlife together. Yes, I will readily cry at emotional moments in shows and movies. But this just... I started bawling. Like, uncontrollable sobs. I've had to say goodbye to one best fuzzy boy before and I'm going to have to do it again - though hopefully the next time is many, many years away. So that's probably why scenes like that hit so hard. But I still wonder sometimes what that says about me that those kinda of stories have more impact on me than others.
You know, I wasn't entirely sure I'd get into Hospital Playlist when I queued up the first episode, but I guess it makes sense that I love it since I was a huge fan of E.R. when I was young.
