Gonna make my first post a House in the Cerulean Sea post to make up for the shit ton of Back to the Future art I will be making. But also *they cute*

I've probably made a post about it that's better but I'm thinking about it again

House in the Cerulean Sea would make SUCH a good movie. Like oh my god.

The visceral difference between the city at the beginning, the island and then the city again was one of my favourite parts of how TJ Klune wrote House in the Cerulean Sea, and just imagining being about to actually see the stark difference between space in colours. Oh my god.

And like, picture those posters that pull colors from each from of the movie and like it's grey at the beginning, and then so much of the movie is beautiful bright vibrant colours and then there's just this patch of grey again.

And like, that's JUST the settings, and I have so many more thoughts on them that I can't type quick enough to entertain, but than like imagine how cool it'd be to see the kids.

And how different they are all are and like, Lucy's powers could be so much fun to SEE.

And like, seeing Theodore constantly draped over Sal's shoulders.

And then of course Arthur and Linus.

I know that logically, so much of the uniqueness of the characters and what I love about them would be changed in order to make them "pretty", and that most studios would never be brave enough to do what I picture with the films colours, but just thinking about what this book could be if adapted well, with love, by people who care about the book and the story, makes me so happy.

i have yet to start my next book, which i think is going to be Improbable Magic for Cynical Witches by Kate Scelsa. stay tuned for the fourth post in this series!!
