Do Eridians know they are different colours. I bet Grace's alien kids love finding out what colour they are. It means absolutely nothing to them but they're like :O :O
Some of them think he's making this whole 'colour' thing up to mess with them and try to catch him out by asking again on a different day to prove he's just saying random noises but he's like you are still blue buddy and they're like :O :O
Imagine one of them is like a turquoisey color and one day Grace calls them green and another day he calls them blue and then the whole class is like âAHA WE HAVE DEBUNKED YOUâ and Grace has to explain that humans fight about colors too
I mean this in the most respectful way possible but can an asexual person PLEASE explain ace-platonic relationships to me? Like I donât get how theyâre different from regular âthis is my bffâ relationships. Like I get that itâs a bond that âtranscends friendshipâ but isnât that just like⌠really close friendship? Idk Iâm just confused đ
(p.s. just because I donât understand ace platonic relationships doesnât mean I donât respect them, Iâm sure theyâre completely valid I just donât know why)
âFashion boobsâ and other ways to stop hating women
I think Society⢠underestimates the power of a name to make someone feel bad (or good) about themself. Like Iâve been seeing a bunch of TikToks recently about how girls heard someone call their flat-chestedness âfashion boobsâ and they immediately stopped feeling insecure.
Part of the appeal of this term is that it isnât inherently sexual, like many of the other terms attributed to breasts in general, and nor is it demeaning. It reminds me of when I first heard about âhip dipsâ and felt disappointed, but then someone else called them âviolin hipsâ and said Marilyn Monroe had them too, and I immediately felt much better about myself.
Thereâs something very relieving about a non-sexual term which still attributes value and beauty to the recipient.
A lot of large-chested people in the comments of âfashion boobsâ video lament about how they feel like they always look trashy when they wear the clothes they like, because their breasts ruin every outfit. They feel like a whore. And I wonder if those people would still feel the same if there was a widely used term to describe large breasts that didnât sound like a name that a fetish-ridden man coined (Iâm looking at you, âcalcium cannons.â Eugh.)
Anyway, point being: maybe the problem was never womenâs bodies, but how we speak about them.
Do you ever think about the fact that one of the first things we know about Jesper as a character is that he cannot hold grudges well? Especially since vengeance fuels the other crows so intensely???
Even the most âmoralâ of the Crows still hold grudges (justifiably so). But Jesperâ the one who, out of all of them, might just have killed the most peopleâ canât stay mad at Kaz for testing his loyalty or any of the other terrible things Kaz does. He just seeks his approval. Thereâs definitely something to be said about Jesperâs violence vs intent.
I just got rejected from every dream school Iâve ever had and I donât know what to do with myself. I guess im just shit at writing essays.
I think itâs funny that robot vacuums are just robot vacuums but humans talk about them like theyâre little pets.
Well theyâre so little and cute and they need a little help now and then and they just go vrooooooom
I donât watch My Little Pony but I now have a head canon that the reason they say Rainbow Dash like Rain Bow Dash is because sheâs named after one of her relatives who invented the first rainbow and was named Rain Bow in the same way someone might be named Norma Jean or Bethany Anne or something like that. MLP fandom please accept my head canon
What, you donât go to the woods and take selfies with the demonic looking deer statue thatâs been slowly eaten down over time?
scientists are trying to discover something harder than getting out of bed to go to work in the morning. and dont make a fucking penis joke ok they already checked everyoneâs dick and it doesnât even come close
Iâm literally scrolling rn because I canât get myself to get out of bed
i dunno about you but PERSONALLY when i go to the woods, i always stop to say hi to Felipe
thought about that quote "homosexuality exists in 1000+ species, homophobia only exists in one" but how awkward would it be if we discovered another species that was homophobic
"homosexuality exists in 1000+ species, homophobia only exists in two. what? oh, humans, and the yellow-patched cuboid pinecone wren that was recently discovered on an island off the coast of canada. they're fucking bigots"
Iâm stupid can someone explain what the new tumblr update is and why itâs bad
In âAll Quiet on the Western Front,â there is a manâ a farmerâ who is one of the oldest in the group. He might be around thirty. The rest are all older teens, somewhere from sixteen to twenty.
The farmer is named Detering, and when the horses scream out in pain and agony after being bombed, this happens:
âHis voice is agitated, it sounds almost dignified as he says: âI tell you it is the vilest baseness to use horses in the war.ââ
Then, a few chapters later, in the wake of a bombing, there is a soldier screaming out in pain and agony that no one can find. Detering says nothing.
It is the vilest baseness to use horses in the war. But boys?
Well, no one likes it, but no one says anything about it, either.
hot take: i actually donât think wylan is on the autism spectrum. like yeah, heâs not great at social skills, but letâs not forget he was isolated from the entire world when he was at least eight, maybe earlier. he only had private tutors and iâm pretty sure his father only talked to him to scold him. so of course, when he sees people his own age for the first time in nearly ten years heâs going to be a little awkward. also iâve heard people say his flute is his special interest but if (you believe) you have only one talent, one redeemable quality, wouldnât you focus on that a lot as well???
so yeah i totally get that the signs are there but still⌠i think itâs more trauma than actual autism
In my humble opinion, if any of the Crows have autism, itâs Matthias. Iâm just thinking of the way he never fit into the DrĂźskelle and couldnât comprehend the way the other boys thought, even if he DID get indoctrinated. It was his social isolation which drew Jarl Brum to him.
Oh you thought âalways an angel never a godâ was bad? Try âalways the invisible girl never superboyâ
researchers: this condition is underdiagnosed advocacy groups: we'll spread knowledge that it's underdiagnosed healthcare workers: some of us will use expanded diagnostic criteria now patients: wow we finally know what's up
tabloids: the condition is mysteriously spreading. this is DANGEROUS.
healthcare workers who don't want to get with the times: as an authority on this subject, i say this is super duper scary. i have been half-assing care for some patients who have this condition for 70 years and so i am the highest authority you should listen to. researchers? more like reprobates.
The tags specifying autism are correct but like there's a reason why I chose to not name-drop a specific condition. Which is that this describes EVERY manufactured moral panic around greater visibility for some medicalized group of people.
Flashback to every time people have said âeveryone has ADHD nowadays!â in response to learning I have ADHD even though Iâm literally a textbook case, I just happen to not be a man
