lute is a heavenborn. she was but a curious wisp of light who was given a body to fulfill a new purpose.
her body is made of condensed light. her anatomy differs from a human woman's. i.e she cannot bear kids, she doesn't bleed once per month, etc โ any physical resemblances she has, it's because she was modeled after one.
her name comes from the instrument, rather than a short version of 'lieutenant'.
my lute embodies ( or rather, used to embody ) the idea of a knight. my vision of the exterminations takes from the actual crusades, especially the hypocrisy behind them.
the exterminations have been going on LONGER than seven years. lute was one of the, if not the first, exorcist to be made, making her centuries old.
i headcanon her relationship with vaggi before she deserted the army as, at least, cordial ( you know, i think heaven deserves a bit of nuance ... ) a fellow exorcist questioning her beliefs, though? that was perceived as betrayal. hence why lute acted how she did.

her mentality resembles one of a person actively participating in a cult ( = she doesn't question orders (from adam), she enforces his views, she shows jealousy if other exorcists are praised instead of her, there is constant fighting for relevancy among the group ) and i won't downplay that. she will say some uncomfortable things, so if that bothers/triggers you, i highly advise not to follow this blog !
she is / was the one doing the dirty work for adam. this includes physical or verbal punishments. however, it's very unlikely for me to add these into threads because i am uncomfortable writing all that.

I think her canon design is fine? But still, like what I said in my Adam redesign post, why do the angels look demonic?
I assume that all exorcists are based on Adam's look, especially the mask so yeah that looks similar. Since I think her canon design is already fine, I basically made this into a mix of canon and a sexy crusader lol. I changed her eyes to purple so that it contrasts with Adam's yellow ones (and also because I wanted her to look more goth).
In terms of characterization, I think she's also fine I'm just changing that fact that she doesn't swear anymore. She polices Adam alot with his own swearing. Lute just kinda seems disgusted with the thought of hell in general so I'm pushing it a little bit further with some religious righteousness to mask her disgust. Believing that everything she does is for the greatest good.
Anyway, love her relationship with Adam, it was refreshing to see this kind of dynamic and I wish we got more of it๐
