currently absolutely and entirely obsessed with Faust from Guilty Gear.
Just.
Oh my god it's a design made for me to love with a personality/power/motivation/even ridiculously dark backstory tailored for me too what the living shit.
cheeky.
I remember having a discussion with someone about Steven Universe that later turned very ridiculous because it kept going on circles and looking back i shouldn't have wasted my time like that but my point was this:
Unlike most animated series (or media to an extent) Steven Universe works with concept of universal redemption, which means that tries to redeem almost every character (even though there are one two or three that don't because they weren't really important or for lack of time). There is no "true evil bad guy" to defeat like you get in most media, that's something that doesn't exist in SU. It's a fantasy where almost every character is capable of change (becoming a better person).
Steven Universe also works under the principles of restorative justice, which consists on the offender not getting punished but having to find a way to compensate the victim by doing certain things depending on their crime. It's more about what the offender is capable of doing to pay for what they did than getting punished. The person that commited the crime is taught to prevent them from doing the same thing again and hurting other people in the future. Thus, restorative justice seeks to make the offender to reflect on their actions and change them for the better.
So, what Steven Universe asks isn't "How this person could be punished?" But "Why did this person did this x bad thing? How can we teach them to understand what they did wrong? And "What they are capable of doing to help create a better society and make up for their actions?"
This is a theme that tries to be consistent in the series despite having two or three minor characters that don't really get a redemption arc.
Another point would be that restorative justice and universal redemption is very important for the gems in Homeworld because even if you destroyed the Diamonds, the gems would still be brainwashed and believe in Homeworld's caste system. You would get rid of the "bad apples" but not what caused the tree to look so sick in first place.
You still need to know what to do with the Homeworld Gems that you want to help and if you destroyed the Diamonds like nothing, the gems would think you are their enemy and not listen to you.
The real "enemy" would be the caste system that makes the Homeworld gems act in a specific way. It's like a sociocultural "enemy" and the protagonists are trying to find a way to dismantle it by showing the gems they can be something different and don't have to follow Homeworld's strict rules.
I'm not sure if i made my point very clear. I hope this could clarify some things. It may look at bit complicated to understand but lets say that start watching the show with sociolcultural lens/ view things start making more sense.
Been a while since I drew NSR, got fueled by old ship scenarios + not a headcanon but a 'what-if' concept where DJSS' body type is changeable
jessica rabbit is literally a sex symbol though she can't be asexual?
she is in romo with a rabbit because he makes her laugh and aside from using her looks to get things out of people she literally never once shows interest in anything or anyone sexually through the entire movie and is clearly appalled when anyone makes advances towards her like there is canonical evidence that jessica rabbit from the classic motion picture who framed rogger rabbit is an asexual character
I am here as fuck for this. Jessica Rabbit for new asexual icon.
“She can’t be asexual because she’s hot tho”
“I can only see her as a sexual object so I can’t imagine her not wanting to have sex with me.”
I’ve always remembered the line “I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way” as Jessica’s admission that while sexualized, she isn’t inherently a sexual entity.
I mean hell, literally, her line before is “You don’t know how hard it is being a woman looking the way I do.”, to which Eddie responds; “You don’t know how hard it is being a man looking at a woman looking the way you do.”
I think that’s pretty damning evidence to her asexuality. The whole plot point with Jessica is how everyone is either convinced she’s sleeping with every human and toon around, or why does she stay faithful to Roger.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit does a great job at satirizing Hollywood/American culture and ideals when it comes to appearances. It also does a great job at hiding some really well thought out challenges to how we look at others in plain sight.
I completely believe that Jessica Rabbit is an asexual romantic (hetero/bi/pan/etc not sure, and to be honest, I don’t know if that part is important, as she’s married to the toon she loves).
I LOVE this headcanon <3
This is important!
This headcanon is just so perfect I had to draw it
#JessicaRabbitForAsexualIcon
I am here for this
not to mention, we can literally just go “because we’re ace and we said so.” death of the author, baby, it’s our canon now
wait does anyone else know about the “people that are probably stand users” facebook
these are literally real
I tried to guess what the actual fuck “stand” is but every one of these photos both deepened my confusion and further deterred me from looking it up. Y'all just be you I guess
It’s time to activate it…

what the fuck was that
World heritage post.
Here’s a great explanation as to the psychology behind posts like this
hip totally plausible strive theory: faust in this game is actually a mecha being piloted by fanny. real faust is on vacation.
…Headcanon accepted I will not hear anything else. Mecha-Faust is my new favorite thing. It’s like edgy Haehyun. I love it.
三人しか描けなかったけど闘神激突お疲れさまでした!
Let the operation begin!
finished the faust pic! and thus marks me spending more time drawing than actually playing the game
* wips * What’s this? Hazbin Hotel oc? More likely than you think. Now prepare for the fact he will be my focus (+ hazbin content) and the only thing I draw
Happy Pride Dear Gearsters!
As we all know, the Guilty Gear Series is wildly popular with the LGBT Community, which is why we at Arc System Works have decided to compile a few of the Guilty Gear Characters canon sexualities!

theres a hole in the wall in my brothers’ room because they were fighting (for fun not anger) in there once and one of them knocked the other into the wall so hard his head made that hole, so they put two small skeletons in there for decoration
they tapped up the “décor” sign up because according to them the skeleton is named décor and the one underneath him is his husband. also worth noting that they found 2 dollars in there the other day

Well, well, well, will you look at that? It’s Pride again.
You know the drill by now. It’s June 1, and suddenly everything from banks to big box stores has slapped a rainbow on their logo. Rainbow capitalism knows how to target LGBTQIA+ customers. For exactly 30 days of the year. How quaint.
Of course, it’s nice to make things bright, and colorful, and pretty. But it’s meaningless if that’s all it is.
Pride should be about uplifting and celebrating you, the community. And it should be year-round, not just 8.22% of the year. So, we’re signal-boosting your posts that celebrate, support, and honor all genders and sexualities over here. Follow to keep your dashboard lovely and gay as hell all year round.
And, yes, we’re also making a bit of a fuss right here on @celebrate (apparently, we just can’t help ourselves). So if you’re interested in talking about what Pride means to you or want to celebrate Pride but don’t know how to go about it this year, we made a fun little 30-day Share Your Pride Challenge list. Because you do, in fact, deserve to be celebrated.
Tag your posts with #ShareYourPride if you want to make them a little easier for other people to find. And Tumblr? Happy Pride. We’re glad you’re here.
