"The house in the woods is not here anymore"
Making a deal with a witch that had once almost killed her could not be worse than making a deal with the Devil, right?
Red was contemplating going to the local police station after months of veiled threats when she got stabbed.
Why would she be a target, a simple apothecary apprentice? Was it someone she knew? What had she done to deserve this? Was it her past catching up?..
Yeah, she'd like to know too.
The only trouble is she doesn't remember anything from as far as the year before, and no one in the town remembers her as well. The only solution, the only salvation, it seemed, was to find the only person who knew Red from before. The very same person that was the reason for her memory loss in the first place.
Tropes: enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers, set in the 1950s but magic and i have little historical knowledge it's just vibes, seaside little towns, carnivorous forest, amnesia as a metaphor for grief and search for a way to identify one self, unlikely allies, forced proximity
