that's a loaded question silly fella in my inbox! but I'll try my best to answer.

if what you mean is how airplanes fly, then there's a lot of things to it. the main things I'll cover are wings and forces

Thrust vs drag and lift vs weight are the main forces involved in flight. To take off, the forward thrust has to be more than the drag, and the lift has to be more than the weight. Up and forward, simple enough, right?

Plane wings have flaps, which are sort of like feathers. They can change and move depending on what's needed in that stage of flight. They create more lift, but also create more drag, which needs to be compensated using powerful engines to create forward thrust! I won't get too into how jet engines work, but I can if you want a follow up B:)

So, lift, how does that work?

When an object moves through a stationary fluid, in this case air, the fluid will exert a force on the object. That up there is an airfoil, basically a cross-section of what plane wings look like. The shape of them is important for this!!!

These airfoils move air above the wing faster than air below the wing, creating lower pressure above and higher pressure below, and the difference in pressure above and below the wing causes an upward force called lift. Think of it as the equal opposite reaction to the downward force of the air!

Boom!! now you're in the air!!!!
