Tumblr won’t let me add this tiktok to another post about Jack & Jill dances but I’m full of spite and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen so have it anyway, the amazing impromptu Mamma Mia dance 💃🏼
Here is the link to the full dance on Youtube which I've watched several times just for Nicole's sheer joy in dancing.
The fact that Jack and Jill dances are all entirely improvised and partners randomly matched and music randomly picked just always impresses the hell out of me.
What an amazing sound - Women from the Rugova region in Kosovo are singing to the rhythms of tepsia (copper pan for preparing traditional food). This disappearing minimalistic style was a popular form of singing among communities throughout the Dinara mountain range. Filmed by Japanese ethnographers from the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka.
[Video ID: The video shows two women singing on a boat, taking turns. The woman on the right is Sofia Adriana, she starts singing a traditional Spanish song often hummed while baking bread, called Panadera. Then the woman on the left , Palestinian Singer “Terez Sliman”, follows by singing the Palestinian song 'Ya Talleen Al Jabal'. Both women show harmony and synchronization in their singing, clapping their hands on the boat to create music.]
"Ya Tall’een Al Jabal " - "يا طالعين الجبل" , a song from the Palestinian heritage was sung by Palestinian women in coded language to their imprisoned husbands and relatives in British prisons during the 1936 revolution to tell them resistance fighters would soon free them, while disguising words with the letter "L.". While "Panadera" in the Spanish language means baker, it is a traditional Spanish song that women sang during the baking process. The movement of the hands in rhythm represents the baking process.
Sung by: Terez Sliman (to the left) | Sofia Adriana Portugal (to the right)

Know what? We all need some pure innocence combined with satisfying accomplishment.
Does this count as finding a walrus at your door?
Absolutely, and definitely less surprising than a fairy
sure if you live in a submarine

“I would buy a mansion” “I would buy designer” “I’m getting a pool” Don’t give me that lame ass if I won the lottery shit. You’re all pathetic. If I came into a significant amount of money, you know what I’d do? I’d go to the Ren Faire, B-line straight to the cloaks. I’m talking floor length, heavy, wool, felted details, huge hooded cloaks that are like 450 a piece and all handmade and I’d get me one. Maybe even get one of the smaller ones that hangs off the shoulders and lands just above the elbow that are 90 by themselves. And I’d be the baddest bitch around because I’d wear that shit everywhere. It’s 115 degrees? I’m sorry do I look like I give a fuck? I have a cloak bitch I don’t need your fahrenheit bullshit. And you’re a FOOL if you wouldn’t do the same.

To The Bus Driver - Jordan Bolton
Appreciate the workers on our busses and trains
As a former bus driver, I can say we do remember our regulars. Especially the nice ones, the kids we watch growing up, the business person who always gives us a $5 coffee card during the holidays, and that one person who just likes to chat. We drive because we like it, we stay driving because of passengers like those. And when we stop, those are the ones we miss. So, please do appreciate your transit operator, we appreciate you.

January 25, 2024 - A day before the celebration of "Australia day" the statue of Captain Cook in St. Kilda, Australia, was sawn off at the ankles, with the words "The Colony Will Fall" painted on the statue's plinth.
