why do some people act like interacting with the source material of the thing they’re a fan of is the worst thing in the world

crazy how this is the takeaway from barry's run and from here on out every person in the world even the people closest to him are comparing him to a god or a saint and making him into an unfalliable example of hero-hood like wow your entire identity and moral values have been systematically brutalized over the course of a scant couple of years and now all you've got is that damned costume and that's all you're going to be remembered as for the rest of forever. CRAZY.
