the day after I posted this last time I was notified that I was selected for a really cool mentorship gig and got an unrelated glowing review at work

And notice the potato doesn’t guilt you with “if you don’t, something horrible will happen.” Potato wouldn’t betray you like that, because potato is a refined person of good humor and character, and understands that, sometimes, a visit to your dashboard just isn’t convenient right now. Sometimes you just went on a fandom gif reblogging spree or your energy is low, you do not have the time to make your dashboard suitable to guests, and a polite visit just isn’t in the cards. Potato understands this, and doesn’t get upset, or gods forbid, throws a tantrum and wishes ill on your household. Instead, Potato merely stores away their blessings for a later visit and leaves as a good friend should.

The thing that hits hardest about than and zag’s relationship is that it’s obvious that zag is very self-conscious about his worth as a person/god, what with being belittled and abused by his father for so many years, and whenever thanatos snarks with him he never really jokes about the things that he knows zag is actually self-conscious about, and he literally ALWAYS follows up his snarking with some kind of gentle, honest compliment. Like he’ll be “you’re insufferable lol” and then immediately follow up with “but you did well, good job”. I know those little praises must hit Zagreus real hard as he hasn’t received much positive feedback throughout his whole childhood, and I think Than knows how much they affect him as well. I think both of them hit each other with very genuine, honest compliments that always touch on their insecurities, and i love that. THEY COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER IN EVERY WAY!!
