Update / Appreciation Post

This gets sappy and I am sorry (nobody is tagged in this and some sections apply to more than one and some are vagueness).

Just want to say being on tumblr is overwhelming lately and we don’t have the internet for it. I mostly drop by on occasion to vent or update or make a long post about something or if my DPD takes a bad turn and I really need attention.

For the people who followed recently – I see you, eventually I will see if you have pages that need reading and follow back but I can’t process very much of Other Stuff right now.

As good and therapeutic I think this fanfic writing based on memory is for me, I also think I have to find a way to break it up. I already worked out that in the sense of time but I worked on it late so my alpha read on my drafting isn't back yet, the second chapter is almost three times longer than the opening one and it was meant to have one or two more scenes in it but it breaks nicely where it does, and the first scene was longer than intended. I have to comb over and bulk out areas, rearrange some text and then comb over for story edits and grammar. I do several finalising sweeps in the editor for the site but it takes a lot of layers of work to get out one part. The issue with it being longer is I had started a skeleton list or plot notes for what is basically the equivalent of part of an episode in screentime, I am not that close to my first major or key point in the story, the temporal duration keeps shifting from slowed down and thinking to faster with "real time scene description and action" which is actually a lot more difficult to write than monologuing how I feel and what I am thinking (seriously, this part is easy). I already know it will be a series in possibly five parts depending how I cut it, time will jump in some places but each part of the series will cover a different major "arch" or whatever in the endverse timeline. But I also have to fill in the major points with a series of themes and gradual secondary plot lines, work out when particular events happen, what people and events from the canon timeline to bring into it and when and how (with special mention to temporal based events and things that would still happen irregardless of the world ending), and since it is AU, how variant and what am I adding besides Croatoan and the veil falling (this latter being a key event and a cut point between two parts since it is a Very Bad that messes me up and I can't even.) but eventually ending with a whole part dedicated to an extended and parallel version of what is given in canon and ending in my death (again, AU). This is only a part of what I worked out, too, but there is a lot and given how slow the first part is going and I don't know if it will or how often I will shift the POV until I get to each point I don't really know where it is going. Which is why I am also working on some shorter stuff. Some of it won't be one shot but I will try to keep them to a few chapters. The opening alone of the one I started last night was longer than I thought also, and I have a lot of points to cover in that plus I need to work out a part that I don't remember, the "solution" or ending. Anyway. I wanted to keep it consistent and upload once a week, but I will work out a pattern so every second EV chapter I will put up a one shot or part of a smaller fic or something. Especially as the series progresses and gets exponentially darker. I will also be taking breaks and stuff.

I didn't go to bed til 5am. Didn't sleep for a long time. Kept waking. Feeling unreal. It is 2.33pm. I feel disconnected and like something is horribly wrong. Maybe it is because I had started thinking about one of the bad things that happened to me. But I was getting better, so much better, why would I do that? I don't feel real.
