Heather sketch’s with some minimal shading (๑>•̀๑). I’m also thinking of drawing a reboot character but I’m not sure who my fav is yet (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

i wish we were able to talk about women's rights without someone mentioning how much they do or don't want to have sex with them. i don't care if you're a lesbian Stop finding worth in women purely from their perceived attractiveness
"I think women should not be expected to shave for societal respect / to avoid discrimination" "yeah🤤 i love bush" ok well that's not what we're talking about is it.
i hate how many posts about trans women deserving respect always devolve into "I love girldick" or "trans rights but I don't want to date a trans person" because that's entirely unrelated to the topic at hand. you should not respond to feminism with "YESSS I loveeee you because I see you as nothing but a sex object" you people sound like other men I get stuck talking with that end up saying "free the nipple so I can see boobies in public" and thinking they're feminists. why can't we just respect women regardless of your attraction to them or not. why does it need to be brought up in every conversation regarding their rights
Saw a post about the 'Man in the Hole' and the continued genocide of indigenous groups by settler-states, and someone's in the reblogs waxing poetic about how they wish they could have went back in time and recorded his language and stories and the like.
Even in a fictional situation where time travel is possible, the westerner does not think of helping the indigenous man - all they wish to do is flay us and keep our skins preserved in amber, so that they may have a more complete collection of artefacts.
sometimes u gotta pretentiously believe with your whole heart "i am the best to ever do it, no one has done it like me" because self-consciousness is the joy-and-mind-killer. write your tropey shit, no one gets it like you, your version is a whole new deep and creative take none other could possibly dream of. promise
Whenever you feel like 10 kudos isn't much or enough, picture that number of people sitting in a room staring at you with stars in their eyes, applauding your work, rooting for your story or your writing. And you're not even a celebrity. Just. Imagine. That.
reminding myself that 7 kudos is 7 different people who have read my story and actually liked it
and idk about you but if 7 people came up to me in real life and said “hey we really liked your writing” i would just cry on the spot
To fanfiction writers in need of encouragement:
Maybe no one has told you this in a while. Maybe no one has told you it ever. Well, I'm telling you now: I believe in you and I'm sending you so many good writing vibes!! I want to see you finish your fic!! Because it is worth it. There are people out there who are dying to read a fic just like yours. Your fic is so good, trust me it's amazing despite what you might tell yourself, and I think you should keep up the good work! You can do it, I'm rooting for you!
Your fics are wanted, and your fics are needed. Keep going, keep writing! ♡
Even if redundancies are generally frowned upon in writing, forgive yourself for using the same words; writing similar lines and dialogue; and for having slightly similar scenes and incidences across your fanfics.
You're the same human being with only one mind and you're bound to narrate things in a similar way . There's only so much life experience you can have for inspiration, and so much research and learning you can do to expand your vocabulary and improve grammar.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: fanfiction-writing is about the author, not the reader
Writing a fanfic story in order to share it should always be secondary. Primarily the desire to write a fanfic should stem from the writer's desire to bring into existence an au they want their faves to be in.
Don't get me wrong: having lovely and enthusiastic readers is something I'll always be grateful for because they allow me to enjoy the beauty of sharing my stories, getting sweet compliments for my writing and learning from their feedback/constructive critiscm.
But, there is no part of the fanfic-writing process where a writer should put the readers first. Unless you receive a prompt from a reader or payment from them, you should only have in mind the story you want to tell, how you want to tell that story, the characters in it, your vision, ho and your passion for writing.
Even at the point when you post your story, it's still all about you as the writer. You shouldn't be anxious about the comments, hits and kudos you'll get. It should be about you merely sharing a story you wrote for yourself, a story you want to bring into existence, a story you want to read.
You have every right not to post the story if you want. That's how much control you have as a writer.
I hope this message helps my fellow fanfic writers do away with making their writing all about numbers, and about others(readers), instead of about themselves.

While people don't work for engagement, it certainly doesn't do any harm..
The best motivation for me to write a fanfiction is the realization that there is not one fanfiction out there with a certain idea. Like, how dare you not write a fanfiction with the idea I have in my head. You know what, fuck it. I'll write it on my own.
today is the last saturday of 2012. reblog now or go @#!*% yourself because you won't get this chance ever again.
