Karamatsu hummed softly, thinking back. Had they ever said they loved each other? He glanced at Todomatsu before grinning. “Well, then maybe it’s a habit we should get into more. Yes?”
“You guys have a weird way of showing it.” He said, clearly annoyed with his older brother, “I have a hard time believing it.”
“You’re involved in that weird way of showing it too, Totty.” Karamatsu ended up giving a little smile to Todomatsu. “So, ah-- what if we all just secretly hate each other?”

Even though all your stinky lima bean brothers still live there? Well… if Ichimatsu and Osomatsu are there, I guess it’s okay. And you’re there too, so Chibita could stay there sometimes.
[ so he’d split his time between four places. Nice. ]

[He nods slowly at the other] Yeah.... it’s just fine. [He blinked, not realising he was also offering Chibita a place to stay but he did nod and smile at the other]

“Pfft–! S-Sorry if I’m laughing too much, Karamatsu-san. It’s just–! Your brother leaves me in stitches!” she giggled, wiping her eyes.
Homura took in a deep breath and exhaled to calm herself.
“Ah, but sorry for coming over so suddenly. I thought I would bring you all some sata andagi as a surprise.” the woman said, giving Karamatsu the basket of baked goods.
He gave a kind shake of his head, smiling at Homura. Seeing someone so excited about his brother made his heart swell and he just couldn’t help but grin wider. “It’s more than okay, truly. I’m so glad to see you so happy.” Another small shake of his head. “No, no, please you’re more than welcome to come over whenever you want!” His eyes lit up at the baked goods. “Ah! Why thank you!”
“I hate all of you, equally!” Todomatsu didn’t really mean that. He couldn’t really stand to not be around his brothers. It didn’t mean, he didn’t find them annoying at times.
cHOKES. But he smiles tightly at Todomatsu, he figured the other didn’t mean it as he said it, but even still, it dug a little deep. “Aw, but Totty, you know that we love you, yes?”

I don’t know why, but there is a suspicious sock trail from my room to yours.
We...sleep in the same room, certain they were...your socks?

Yeah! Chibinii says I can stay at his place, and so does iyami, but I feel bad for staying somewhere that I don’t belong for too long. So sometimes Chibita tells Chibinii that I’m staying with Iyami, and Iyami that I’m staying with Chibinii, and then Chibita can sleep in the pipes with the cats. They’re all different now but they still like me, so it’s okay.
[ Chibita grabs a skewer of oden and stuffs it in his mouth. If he’s bothered by the taste, it doesn’t show at all ]
C’mon! It’s gotta be more than “interesting”! Give Chibita more to work with here. What’s it like to be able to go and buy snacks whenever you want?
[The concern still remained clearly evident on Karamatsu’s face. He shifted slightly, tugging his lips into a taught line before giving a small nod. Surely his brothers would understand if he offered the small Chibita a place to stay as well?] Well, uhm, certainly, if you need someplace to stay, my home is also open to you.
[He almost cringes. The oden was awful at the current point in time, but the other didn’t seemed bothered so he let it slide]
[Well, Kara could lie...] It’s, wondrous! Of course, you need to be careful with your finances. [or lack thereof]

“I wouldn’t go that far, Karamatsu-niisan!” Todomatsu laughed, actually amused by this whole thing, “I really don’t understand why you’re making a big deal out of this.”
He squints slightly, contemplating his next move. He could push further and run the risk of agitating Totty, or he could let sleeping dogs lie and not test fate. He felt like being risky. “It is a big deal, Totty! Knowing where we stand with your affection is very much a big deal!”
That’s lucky. I wish I had a mom to let Chibita stay in the same house forever. But it’s fine that I don’t! Chibita is happy going around from place to place. I stay in all sorts of places! Like I live at Chibinii’s, and Iyamis, and I still live in my pipes sometimes – oh, don’t tell the others that, though Chibita got in a lot of trouble last time, but I donno why – uhm, and!! And!!!
I get to eat good food every day!! Chibinii makes the best oden, so you guys are sooooo lucky to eat that every day.
So what’s it like bein a grown up?
[He has so much he could say to that statement, but Karamatsu bites back any commentary on the matter, specifically because this is a kid version of Chibita and he rather not warp his precious little mind.]
.....Are you sure you’re living alright? [A hint of concern crosses Karamatsu’s face and he completely drops the cool guy act for a more concerned, holy shit I’m years older than this kid tone of voice]

[ he hops around, laughing, before tucking the coins in his little front pocket, sliding back into the seat with Karamatsu ]
So how do you like it? Chibinii says that you all come around and eat here all the time. This is Chibs first time ever serving oden! It’s really fun! I help out because this way I can earn my keep. I stay with Chibinii sometimes, and also with Iyami. You still live in the same house, right? That’s lucky!
[The elder of the two looked over towards the other and gave a little hum and a flash of a smile before he took another small bite]
It’s, ah, delicious! It soothes the soul, truly. [It was far too cold for Karamatsu’s taste and the flavours weren’t quite mingling right on his palette, but he would keep that to himself] W-we...do still live in the same house, yes! It is quite nice. [Also mildly embarrassing, but c’est la vie]
“ Karamatsu !! “ Chibita greeted him as usual, head resting in his palms as he watched the second oldest sextuplet sit down at his cart. But he noticed something a little… off. It felt a little more tense than usual. He raised a brow in question. “ Hmm? What’s wrong, Kara-boy ?? Are yer brothers bein’ jerks again? Tell me if they are an’ I’ll beat em up. Kekeke! “
The second eldest of the sextuplets shook his head, pursing his lips for a moment. “N-No... nothing of the sort.” It was everything of the sort. He flashed his cool guy smile and pushed his sunglasses further up his nose. “Heh, I just, needed the inspiration of the fresh air to clear my mind is all--”
