i go by guroseinsei or rassvet on most of my profiles but just call me sei (or rass) :3! i write fanfiction, mainly. i also draw & make (indulgently silly) edits whenever the inspiration to do so slams me into a muse filled wall. other than that, i spend most of my time screaming, giggling and sobbing about my multitude of ships.

i write slash fan-fiction, thus most of my works are M/M. i could go over the list of my fandoms for about a decade and wouldn't stop (nor remember all of them, lol). ocassionally, i also dabble in M/F from time to time.
"ship, let ship" is generally how i go through fandom. i'm just here to enjoy the wildest and silliest things and respect everyone who does the same.

this book is out now!!! it's a short read, less than 200 pages, and it's SO good. i literally had to pause halfway through just to send the author a message about how much i liked it. definitely leans more utopian than scientific, but that makes sense given the format, and i think it has a lot of good things to say.
once you really start thinking about how restrictive the world is for children and how many bullshit justifications we retroactively come up for it all the time, you can't stop seeing it everywhere. this book makes a good case for including children in our political efforts not as rhetorical devices but as an actual class of oppressed people.

not all of us can live in fantasy 100% the time like i see some people on here do and it's refreshing to learn something new. its been philosophy, essays, and history for me and i feel much more at home on planet Earth for it knowing that people have been struggling and wishing similarly for millenia.
its not that fiction doesnt have its place, its important and healthy to exercise the imagination, but non-fiction can do so much to boost and supplement that. if not for yourself, for your art or for the people you're around
