I hijacked my wife’s account too many times, so she set this up for me. Historian, archivist, former junior professor, admittedly mediocre barista, hopefully better husband and father. New update for the Animus. Shaun was able to get me some intel on the current Abstergo model, so I've been making some updates. It's become more of a guide to what not to do.....I'm trying to NOT cause harm to the people using the Animus.

*wipes the sweat from her brow with a slightly greasy hand* This will be SO cool when I'm done.

good to know , though I'm a bit curious how did shaun got the Intel on the abstergo animus? and should people who have the right DNA for the Animus be worried?

He did some undercover work. Higher-ups in the Templars know who he is, but lower level Abstergo workers don't know even pay him a bit of attention. Also, for a big corporation, you would think they'd focus more on preventing data leaks and teaching their employee about social engineering in hacking. Oh well....their loss.

In terms of using the Animus....look, I can't promise the thing is 100% safe. That's why me or someone else has to be monitoring you at all times, and pull you out as soon as your vitals look at all weird.

"I can't tell you the number of times I have been close to collapse coming out of the Animus because the memory was that traumatic." He said turning to face you. He looks worse for wear. he is Missing part of his left arm and his left eye is gone, swen shut to prevent infection. He has nasty burns on that side.

So, since we have finished arc 1 of Blood of Kings, I figured we'd take a break from it. 

So here's a Twin AU for Assassin's Creed, and it's a Hazbin Hotel crossover. Yeah. So this AU, Desmond has a twin brother named Dustin who killed Desmond to take his place, when they were five and Desmond wound up in hell looking like a standard human child until he was adopted by Lucifer and Lilith. So he's Charlie's little brother now. He takes the name Dante Morningstar, and he does return to earth to fulfill his destiny. Then he respawns in hell. So we'd start where Shaun and Rebecca enter into Desmond's story. Clay is here thanks to Dante/Desmond.

Dante Morningstar rolled his eyes as Lucy retrieved him and Clay from the trunk of her car. This was the fourth time she called him by his dead name because Abestrgo had gotten ahold of a blood sample from him and despite his blonde hair and blue eyes, compared to his original brown hair and brown eyes revealed that he was indeed Desmond Miles.

He didn't say he wasn't Desmond, it's just it wasn't his name anymore. Hadn't been in years. He was Dante Morningstar. Prince of Hell. Yet despite that here he was, he had a job to do. He looked at Clay who was chatting a mile a minute with Lucy, glad to be alive. At least Clay called him Dante.

Dante walked in with Clay and Lucy and stood back as the duo reunited with their teammates.

Rebecca was busy working at a multiple-screened computer, deeply focused on whatever program she was working on at the moment. It could have been hacking, it could have been editing code, who really knew with Rebecca?

She heard Lucy and Clay enter and it seemed to jolt her out of her focus. "Hey guys....". She said, swiveling around in her chair, waving at Lucy and Clay and paused when she saw Desm--Dante.

"Hey....good to see you."

Dante nodded at the acknowledgement while Clay grinned. He explained that Dante saved him from dying.

"That's good....that's great....".

Rebecca took in a deep breath, rubbing her forehead. "....can we not....make it so easy for Abstergo to get your blood? Do you know how hard it is to scrub internet presence one time, let alone....how many times?"

Rebecca sighed again and gave Dante a sympathetic look. "Also, Shaun got himself caught on surveillance footage yesterday, so you're both in the doghouse....if it's any consolation."

Dante nodded before sighing "I don't know how the hell Abestrgo got my blood. I haven't been on earth long after I died the first time." He looked at Clay before saying "Regardless of that, I believe we have memories to access? Ezio Auditore if I am not mistaken. I already did a week in Altaïr's memories just now, but I would rather not subject Clay to the Animus again." He said calmly. Eeriely clam.

"Yeah....yeah, that's probably a good idea." Rebecca said, a little taken aback at how calm Dante sounded. This was all....a big change for her, but she tried to keep things moving.

"....yeah, I can get the Animus set up for a session. I ran some updates last night."

"Don't rush it however. Get it set up properly. Technology is delicate after all." He said with a polite charm in his voice honed in the long years he was in hell.

That was what always seemed odd to Rebecca... Assassins tended to be blunt and brusque when working together, so much so that Dante's charm made the hairs on her arm stand up. Reasonable or not, it always made her think he was actively hiding something...like someone who was polite to her face but willing to stab her in the back as soon as she turned away.

She shook her head as if she could clear her mind like an Etch-a-Sketch and went to set up the Animus.

Rebecca merely scratched the surface of what Dante Morningstar truly was. By all accounts he appeared human but he wasn't. Not anymore at least.

As he sat waiting, patiently, he reflected on his past. He knew in another reality, one where Dustin didn't exist, he never died at five years old and would be here through much the same way as Clay. Clay would be dead too.

Clay sat beside him and asked

"Morningstar...as in The Morningstar?"

"I don't quite understand your question. Because it seems as if you are asking about Lucifer, yet that is not me. Or are you asking if I was taken in by Lucifer, which the answer is yes."

Dante replied with a charm reserved for more traditional human interpretations of his goofy adoptive father who was obsessed with rubber ducks. Lucy looked up and sighed

"Desmond you are delusional. Demons, in the religious and pop culture sense don't exist. If anything it was merely a coma dream. You're not the adoptive son of The King of Hell himself."

Clay glared at Lucy but didn't say anything, Dante held her gaze for a moment and said smoothly, as if for a moment he was the radio demon himself said

"It's hardly a delusion my dear. I am just, out of respect for my home, and heaven above, holding back. I am one of the few demons who can breach the world of man."

Had been in hell the smile he flashed would have had sharp teeth, however he had his human appearance and thus his teeth were fairly normal.

Lucy fell silent as she looked at both Shaun and Rebecca for back up. Hopefully one of them could help her snap Desmond out of his "delusion" and get back to the task at hand. She just never realized that the task at is what Dante was working towards.

After the battle with Adam, Serra had personally invited Dante back to heaven as he had come with Vaggie and Charlie the first time, and she explained to him everything he was meant for. What his twin Dustin was trying to do, without being the chosen one.

Dante's attention returned when one of the two spoke up.

"Do you use different names in different cultures?" Shaun asked, looking right in Dante. "For example, in Hebrew, the demon Lucifer is called Helel ben Shachar, while in Islam he is often called Al-Shaitan...."

"Only you would ask a demon what he thinks of his name....". Rebecca said with a laugh.

"I am quite touched actually that he is asking that question in particular. He is quite correct that my adoptive father has many names. Unfortunately no I don't as of yet use other names beyond Dante as I am still young by demon standards. Younger still compared to my adoptive sister Charlie." Dante paused before he spoke

"in hell there are two types of demons. Hellborns and Sinners. Hellborns are your imps, hellhounds and my adoptive sister Charlie. Sinners are everyone else humans who died and were damned to hell."

Clay listened and asked

"So, hang on you're a sinner demon?"

"Actually it's quite complicated in my case. See, like hellborn I can age, die, and walk among men. Though like a sinner I died and my demon form does reflect how I died and something I despised. That's why I am unique. I, ah, can also reproduce like a hellborn, sinners can't. It's a trade off. Sinners unless killed by angelic steel just respawn after some time after dying. But they can't reproduce. Hellborns can reproduce but age and die."

He went quiet after that and looked nervous. Not by saying anything wrong or revealing just that he was human. And there was the other part of all of this. Despite being a demon for so long...he was still human.

Lucy rolled her eyes and said

"What are you going to say next, you've met Adam?"

"Actually yes and he was a misogynistic prick."

Lucy went pale shutting up real fast. Clay had been keeping what he'd been told by Juno quiet but Lucy's actions kept setting off warning bells. Like city alarms from his time spent in Ezio's memories. When he looked at Dante, his cousin via Ezio, he heard the safety of Monterggorni.

Dante looked at Shaun and asked

"As a historian, is there anything you have questions about that I may be able to clarify? Hell has an extensive library of historical information. I'm the more scholarly between my adoptive sister and I."

Shaun was listening to Dante's explanation of Sinners and Hellborn and everything else and was taking COPIOUS notes on a yellow notepad, his eyes fixed on Dante in a way that made Rebecca wave her hand in front of his face to make sure he wasn't in a trance.

"I.....uh.....". He stammered for several moments, having no idea which of his volumes of questions he should start with first. "....I don't there is a limit to the questions I'm going to have..."

"You are not going to the library in Hell." Rebecca said, rolling her eyes. "I'm putting my foot down on that one.

The sights and sounds of the convention were typical for her having been to a few. She was thrilled to be seeing a convention dedicated to her favorite game. Walking around she saw vendors, activities and so much more. She had noted that those around here the "characters" were very real and not performers. Then she watched the leap faith that took place, with several people partaking and a sense of awe and wonder took over.

Jamie let out a laugh. Her friends agreed. With Sophia Sterling texting someone. She looked up at Jamie and said "Remember that promise, to let the other's God father know if shit went down?" Jamie looked at Sophia and asked "You still have my Uncle Bonez' number?!" "Yep talk regularly actually. Boots on the ground in two days." Desmond looked at her and asked "what does that mean?" Tobias gave an evil grin. "It means you will have legal back up. He's bail enforcement. As well as a bouncer on the side." Desmond looked at Tobias. He just said the one word that always got Desmond smiling when he worked at Bad Weather. Bouncers were people you wanted working for you. And Desmond made sure to be nice to them. They often had his back.

Rebecca listened to this conversation and her face lit up. "Jamie, your friends are amazing." She said with a wide smile.

"I know." She said. She then said "Uncle Bonez Magill is my mother's brother. Older brother in fact. He's my God father. So any of my Scottish and Irish Galice curses come from him, much to my sperm donor's shagrin." Jamie smiled as they headed outside. Tobias helped load Jamie and Desmond's bags into her car as the two got into the back seat with Desmond pulling Jamie close to him. He had a murderous look in his eyes. The same one he had when he heard Vedic had his sperm donor held captive.

Shaun noticed this and raised an eyebrow. "I've seen that look before, Desmond. Last time, it was when your father was captured and you had the stupid idea to walk into Templar headquarters with the artifact they wanted to get him back." He paused and adjusted his glasses. "I mean, it worked....Becs and I were roped into helping you, so of course it did.....but that doesn't make your idea less stupid."

"Be that as it may, I am not happy about this... prick walking in and disrespecting his own flesh and blood. Calling her damaged goods because of a couple illnesses?! Unbelievable. I swear he makes Rodrigo look like a saint." Desmond huffed. Jamie wasn't complaining. She had some protection now and she relaxed into Desmond's embrace. She spoke "Thank you mo stór is fearr leat" and settled down beside Desmond. Her breathing even.

Shaun sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Alright, but if you decide to go for revenge, at least tell Becs and I so we can get you OUT of trouble."

"I will. Though I think the best revenge is loving the hell out of Jamie." Desmond said.

"Don't be too syrupy sweet, or I might get sick all over the dashboard." Shaun called out as he got into the driver's seat.

"Then I guess you'll be detailing this car, all by yourself." Rebecca replied as she got into the front passenger's seat. "Are we going straight home or do we need to go somewhere else?"

Tobias helped load Jamie and Desmond's bags into her car as the two got into the back seat with Desmond pulling Jamie close to him. He had a murderous look in his eyes. Last time, it was when your father was captured and you had the stupid idea to walk into Templar headquarters with the artifact they wanted to get him back." He paused and adjusted his glasses. "I mean, it worked....Becs and I were roped into helping you, so of course it did.....but that doesn't make your idea less stupid."

"Be that as it may, I am not happy about this... prick walking in and disrespecting his own flesh and blood. Calling her damaged goods because of a couple illnesses?! Unbelievable. I swear he makes Rodrigo look like a saint." Desmond huffed. Jamie wasn't complaining. She had some protection now and she relaxed into Desmond's embrace. She spoke "Thank you mo stór is fearr leat" and settled down beside Desmond. Her breathing even.

Jamie let out a laugh. Her friends agreed. With Sophia Sterling texting someone. She looked up at Jamie and said "Remember that promise, to let the other's God father know if shit went down?" Jamie looked at Sophia and asked "You still have my Uncle Bonez' number?!" "Yep talk regularly actually. Boots on the ground in two days." Desmond looked at her and asked "what does that mean?" Tobias gave an evil grin. "It means you will have legal back up. He's bail enforcement. As well as a bouncer on the side." Desmond looked at Tobias. He just said the one word that always got Desmond smiling when he worked at Bad Weather. Bouncers were people you wanted working for you. And Desmond made sure to be nice to them. They often had his back.

Rebecca listened to this conversation and her face lit up. "Jamie, your friends are amazing." She said with a wide smile.

"I know." She said. She then said "Uncle Bonez Magill is my mother's brother. Older brother in fact. He's my God father. So any of my Scottish and Irish Galice curses come from him, much to my sperm donor's shagrin." Jamie smiled as they headed outside. At that moment a hidden deformity of Jamie's decided to pain her. She looked at Shaun and asked "Shaun you're closer to my med bag, could you pass it here, with the tissue box please?" She held the right side of her face in discomfort.

“Got it!” Shaun quickly went to the medical bag and grabbed it, and the tissue box, and got it to Jamie. “What else do you need me to do?” He asked, worried.

"I should be okay. Thanks." Jamie said grabbing the orjel and applying some to the gum on her right side where the bone was exposed and causing issue. Once done she wiped her finger of the numbing gel as it took effect.

Shaun caught a glimpse of the bone and had to steady himself to not freak out. “….is there anything else I can do for you?”

"I am all set. Thank you for asking though Shaun." Jamie said.

“You’re welcome.” Shaun said with a small smile, glad both that Jamie was alright and the prior conversation had ended.

"So we good to go? The Curious Owl Tavern awaits." Jamie said.

“Yes!” Rebecca punched the air and gave Jamie a one-armed hug before going to sling her other arm around Shaun’s shoulders. “Let’s GO!”

The ride was only five minutes before they arrived at the Tavern.

Upon entering the Tavern it was like they were transported to Fauren. It was rustic and medieval. They found Jamie's crew waiting at big round booth.

Rebecca was in awe. Even though this wasn’t far from the house, Assassin work meant that Rebecca didn’t always have the luxury of exploring the surrounding area. (Also, there was that one incident in Italy when Shaun, Desmond, and her got a little too tipsy….the less said, the better.)

“This is so cool! I can’t believe this is so close!”

"I know. From here heading west, is my dad's, another five minutes." Jamie said. Her crew was a group of five individuals. The first up was a tall woman, and surprisingly the youngest. She had brown hair and blue eyes. She hugged Jamie tightly and said

"I am so so sorry we were separated at the Con. I got worried when I couldn't find you. I am so glad you're okay."

"Thanks Trisha. I brought some new friends of mine with me to meet you."

Jamie turned to Rebecca and said

"This is the friend I mentioned who was there at the Con. Trisha had gone as a random historical NPC."

"Yeah, I was a crusader."

Trisha said

“Awesome!” Rebecca said with a broad smile. “I’m Rebecca, that’s my boyfriend, Shaun, and our good friend Desmond.”

“Hello.” Shaun said with a small smile and wave.

Trisha smiled. Then the tallest member of their group and the oldest piped up saying

"Jamie you sure Desmond isn't more than a friend?"

Jamie eyed him before saying

"Tobias Desmond is actually my boyfriend."

Desmond's eyes went wide.

Rebecca watched this conversation with a sly grin, leaning against Shaun and giving him a look that clearly read “It’s Desmond’s turn now.”

Desmond though doubled down, wrapping his arms around Jamie and smiled.

"Yes we are dating."

Rebecca watched this with a wide grin. She gave Desmond a double thumbs up when he wrapped his arms around Jamie. “Hell yes you are!”

Chase Shadowspear was next and the shortest of the group. He looked at Desmond and smiled "Well take care of her." Desmond cocked his head and Jamie explained "Chase is an ex."

“Don’t worry.” Rebecca said with a smirk, looking at Desmond. “If Desmond steps out of line, Shaun and I will be the first to put a stop to that.”

Desmond looked horrified at Shaun and Rebecca. But Jamie smiled. Sophia Sterling smiled as she finished with her insulin. "I was listening. Just had to take care of my self." She said.

Shaun noticed but said nothing. These were new people and he didn’t want to pry or be rude.

Meanwhile, Rebecca walked over and rested her elbow on Desmond’s shoulder, getting a bit on her tip toes to do so. “Careful there, Des. Shaun and I really like Jamie.”

Jamie turned to Rebecca. "I have made that much of an impression?"

Rebecca grinned and threw her other arm around Jamie’s shoulders. “You’re one of us now, Jamie!”

“My apologies in advance.” Shaun called out, looking slightly worried. “We’re less a happy family and more a somewhat dysfunctional one.”

“So….” Rebecca turned to face Jamie more. “What all do they serve here? Is it just drinks or do they have food as well?”

"It's both. Since it's Dungeons and Dragons based, it's a lot of high fantasy inspired dishes." Jamie said showing the menu which had quite the spread. From foods from Ten Towns in Icewind Dale, to Memenzobrazan, to Neverwinter. There was something for everyone. "There is a "Druids" menu, replicating the diet of the Druid class since they tend for more natural items. There are veggie options on that menu." Jamie added.

“I was going to ask if there are any veggie options…..the Druids section looks yummy.”

Shaun paused, raising an eyebrow. “So….do these Druids have any relation to the Celtic priestly class?”

“Only if those Druids can turn into bears.” Rebecca said with a bright smile.

"In the table top version, you could play any class historically accurate if you wanted. But the Druids are as Rebecca said shapeshifters. With a massive gear restriction. All their gear must be from natural materials." Jamie explained.

"Yeah, I can't see Rebecca being a good Druid. She likes technology too much." Shaun said with a smirk.

"You're right--I'd much rather be an Artificer. It's practically what I do in real life anyway, except even more fun." Rebecca said with a huge grin. "Obviously Desmond would be a Rogue....you could be a Bard, Shaun."

Shaun just sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I don't even know what that entails and I can already tell that would be a bad idea."

".......or Wizard. They have to study for all their powers." It was clear on Rebecca's face she was envisioning the best classes for all of her friends to play.

Jamie blushes a moment before saying "Shaun I pegged as a Wizard, having to earn their power through study making them the scholars of the party. To match his role in the brotherhood. I did not actually have a class for Rebecca because the one she called I pegged Leonardo with. Desmond represented to me a sorcerer. Born with his power. Layla is the Warlock." Desmond nodded understanding "I get that those three classes are actually well represented with myself, Shaun and Layla. I love the thought for Leo. So who did you pick for Rouge and Bard then?" "Rouge, Arno. And Bard, please don't kill me but Ezio. And no not because of his one time pretending to be one." Jamie said.

"Yeah....I can see Desmond as a Sorcerer....I guess I was focusing more on his Assassin training." Rebecca said, letting out a laugh when Jamie mentioned Ezio. "Oh, Ezio would absolutely be a Bard.....using his charms to get out of trouble...and other things." She giggled at the implication, while Shaun rolled his eyes....and stifled a laugh himself.

"Yes that, but the bard isn't just about music. You could have one as a public speaker." Jamie said. Chase grinned talking about his own bard that was exactly like that.

"Okay, now I really want to see this DnD campaign." Rebecca said with a laugh. "This sounds awesome...and I want you two boys to start making characters for yourselves." She said, referring to Desmond and Shaun.

Shaun gave Rebecca a look of annoyance...but everyone knew he would be half-way through creating a character before the first round of drinks arrived.

Jamie set her two player's hand books in front of each Desmond and Shaun with a player sheet each and a pencil and some dice. Desmond surprisingly had a character in mind, and with help from Jamie, access to one of her supplement books made a Tabxi rouge with a fetish for knives. (Ruff Tuff is essentially a Rocket Raccoon but with Knives instead of guns).

It was explained that this campaign was a continuation of one started on Jamie's birthday a year ago. So the original players caught the three new ones up on the story. That this small town of Lambraha was now effectively the party's. Desmond had to put his head down to keep from laughing so hard at the fact the Furby, Jamie's Samurai, became the mascot of a brothel. That...that had to be a sight.

Rebecca was laughing so hard that tears ran down her face. She was leaning against Shaun for physical support so she wouldn't fall off the chair.

Shaun seemed completely unbothered that Rebecca was getting tear stains on his jacket...granted, she was the only person in this room, perhaps on the planet, who could get away with that. He fought back laughter as he tried to figure out a way to introduce his new Wizard character (Order of Scribes subclass, of course. Rebecca had suggested it....after Shaun shot down her initial suggestion of the Necromancy subclass.)

Jamie entertained them for a moment by doing a spot on Furby impression and speaking like her character. Even pulling an Animus glitch and using both English and Furbish in the same sentence (like how it would in the Ezio trilogy onward use native words and translate them in the subtitles.) then they got to it. Since Chase's ranger, and Tobias' rouge were returning from a few years away the party gathered at the entrance to Lambraha to greet them with Stella's Necko dragging Jamie's character, Leonardo Da Vinci himself, by his shirt collar.

Rebecca watched, loving Jamie's Furby impression and the antics between the other characters in the party. She hadn't introduced her character yet....she was still trying to fully decide on the character class.

Shaun, of course, noticed and shook his head. "Are you going to make up your mind this century, Becs?"

Jamie smiled "no rush." She said. Desmond grinned introducing his Tabxi by having him inspect the lizard folk's knife and coo over the craftsman ship and it's uniqueness.

Shaun hadn't introduced his character yet, and it was clear he was waiting for Rebecca to finish her character first. "I have a feeling that my character will join the party in the same way I joined the Assassins....dragged in by Rebecca after a near-death experience."

Jamie nodded as Desmond set the secen for his character.

"you see a smaller than average Tabxi crawling over you Vezric, finding one of your knives he grabs it and says "lizard folk craftsman ship, very fine, very rare.""

Shaun listened to Desmond's introduction as he wrote down each of the available classes on a sheet of paper. He then grabbed a d12 and rolled it.

"How about a....warlock, Becs? And since you wanted me to be a necromancer, you can....". He looked at the list of subclasses. "....have an undead patron."

Rebecca paused for a moment....and then started scribbling wildly. She paused for a minute to kiss Shaun on the cheek in thanks, and then kept writing.

Things were going great until a sharp voice cut about the noise.

"JAMIE ELLA TUNDRA WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL. YOU'RE HERE SCREWING AROUND WHEN YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKING FOR A BETTER JOB AND A PLACE."

Jamie froze. It was her father. She went paler than she had a few days ago. Desmond looked annoyed as a short man who looked like Jamie approached them.

Both Rebecca and Shaun saw Jamie's reaction and stood up, acting as a physical block between the man and Jamie.

".....and you are?" Rebecca asked, though she had a strong feeling as to who this was.

"Her father. And who are you?" He said looking between the three. Desmond had moved Jamie behind him to protect her, ready to use his hidden blade.

"Friends." Rebecca said, her usual cheerfulness gone and her voice almost cold. "Friends who gave her a place to stay when she was sick and living in her car."

In that moment, despite being the shortest of the more experienced Assassins, Rebecca seemed seven feet tall and ready to start a fight.

Jamie's father looked at the trio, and to Jamie before saying "with that shorted then you can collect your shit within the month." He paused a moment before saying "I don't want to see you after that." Calling her damaged goods.

"Well, she doesn't need someone like you." Rebecca said with a calm fury. "And we will be collecting her POSSESSIONS soon, so everything SHOULD be in one piece."

"Let's hope for your sake that everything goes smoothly." Shaun added, his voice unusually icy.

Desmond felt Jamie grab his hand, and he gently gripped it to let her know she was safe. He stared down the man who hurt Jamie. Her dad snorted before leaving the tavern and Jamie just broke down sobbing.

Rebecca immediately ran over to hug Jamie, worried for her. "It's okay....you're safe with us. I promise."

Jamie could feel another set of arms hug her as well....as much as Shaun said he wasn't touchy-feely, he wanted to give her a hug as well.

"Do you want to go home?"

Home. She had a home. She gently tore from Beccs and Shaun and hugged Desmond hard.

Rebecca watched this with a small smile. She understood how Jamie was feeling--most Assassins went through periods of time feeling like they had no home or roots. Hell, many Assassins currently felt like that. For Rebecca, home was not so much a physical location but being with the people she loved....who happened to be right there with her.

She hoped that Jamie could eventually feel the same.

Shaun gave Rebecca a look of annoyance...but everyone knew he would be half-way through creating a character before the first round of drinks arrived.

Jamie set her two player's hand books in front of each Desmond and Shaun with a player sheet each and a pencil and some dice. Desmond surprisingly had a character in mind, and with help from Jamie, access to one of her supplement books made a Tabxi rouge with a fetish for knives. (Ruff Tuff is essentially a Rocket Raccoon but with Knives instead of guns).

It was explained that this campaign was a continuation of one started on Jamie's birthday a year ago. So the original players caught the three new ones up on the story. That this small town of Lambraha was now effectively the party's. Desmond had to put his head down to keep from laughing so hard at the fact the Furby, Jamie's Samurai, became the mascot of a brothel. That...that had to be a sight.

Rebecca was laughing so hard that tears ran down her face. She was leaning against Shaun for physical support so she wouldn't fall off the chair.

Shaun seemed completely unbothered that Rebecca was getting tear stains on his jacket...granted, she was the only person in this room, perhaps on the planet, who could get away with that. He fought back laughter as he tried to figure out a way to introduce his new Wizard character (Order of Scribes subclass, of course. Rebecca had suggested it....after Shaun shot down her initial suggestion of the Necromancy subclass.)

Jamie entertained them for a moment by doing a spot on Furby impression and speaking like her character. Even pulling an Animus glitch and using both English and Furbish in the same sentence (like how it would in the Ezio trilogy onward use native words and translate them in the subtitles.) then they got to it. Since Chase's ranger, and Tobias' rouge were returning from a few years away the party gathered at the entrance to Lambraha to greet them with Stella's Necko dragging Jamie's character, Leonardo Da Vinci himself, by his shirt collar.

The sights and sounds of the convention were typical for her having been to a few. She was thrilled to be seeing a convention dedicated to her favorite game. Walking around she saw vendors, activities and so much more. She had noted that those around here the "characters" were very real and not performers. Then she watched the leap faith that took place, with several people partaking and a sense of awe and wonder took over.

"Thanks Trisha. I brought some new friends of mine with me to meet you."

"This is the friend I mentioned who was there at the Con. Trisha had gone as a random historical NPC."

"Yeah, I was a crusader."

From foods from Ten Towns in Icewind Dale, to Memenzobrazan, to Neverwinter. There was something for everyone. "There is a "Druids" menu, replicating the diet of the Druid class since they tend for more natural items. There are veggie options on that menu." Jamie added.

"This is the friend I mentioned who was there at the Con. Trisha had gone as a random historical NPC."

"Yeah, I was a crusader."

“Awesome!” Rebecca said with a broad smile. “I’m Rebecca, that’s my boyfriend, Shaun, and our good friend Desmond.”

“Hello.” Shaun said with a small smile and wave.

Trisha smiled. Then the tallest member of their group and the oldest piped up saying

"Jamie you sure Desmond isn't more than a friend?"

"Tobias Desmond is actually my boyfriend."

Rebecca watched this conversation with a sly grin, leaning against Shaun and giving him a look that clearly read “It’s Desmond’s turn now.”

"Yes we are dating."

Chase Shadowspear was next and the shortest of the group. He looked at Desmond and smiled "Well take care of her." Desmond cocked his head and Jamie explained "Chase is an ex."

“Don’t worry.” Rebecca said with a smirk, looking at Desmond. “If Desmond steps out of line, Shaun and I will be the first to put a stop to that.”

Desmond looked horrified at Shaun and Rebecca. But Jamie smiled. Sophia Sterling smiled as she finished with her insulin. "I was listening. Just had to take care of my self." She said.

“My apologies in advance.” Shaun called out, looking slightly worried. “We’re less a happy family and more a somewhat dysfunctional one.”

“So….” Rebecca turned to face Jamie more. “What all do they serve here? Is it just drinks or do they have food as well?”

"It's both. Since it's Dungeons and Dragons based, it's a lot of high fantasy inspired dishes." Jamie said showing the menu which had quite the spread. From foods from Ten Towns in Icewind Dale, to Memenzobrazan, to Neverwinter. There was something for everyone. "There is a "Druids" menu, replicating the diet of the Druid class since they tend for more natural items. There are veggie options on that menu." Jamie added.

“I was going to ask if there are any veggie options…..the Druids section looks yummy.”

Shaun paused, raising an eyebrow. “So….do these Druids have any relation to the Celtic priestly class?”

“Only if those Druids can turn into bears.” Rebecca said with a bright smile.

"In the table top version, you could play any class historically accurate if you wanted. But the Druids are as Rebecca said shapeshifters. With a massive gear restriction. All their gear must be from natural materials." Jamie explained.

"Yeah, I can't see Rebecca being a good Druid. She likes technology too much." Shaun said with a smirk.

"You're right--I'd much rather be an Artificer. It's practically what I do in real life anyway, except even more fun." Rebecca said with a huge grin. "Obviously Desmond would be a Rogue....you could be a Bard, Shaun."

Shaun just sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I don't even know what that entails and I can already tell that would be a bad idea."

".......or Wizard. They have to study for all their powers." It was clear on Rebecca's face she was envisioning the best classes for all of her friends to play.

The sights and sounds of the convention were typical for her having been to a few. She was thrilled to be seeing a convention dedicated to her favorite game. Walking around she saw vendors, activities and so much more. She had noted that those around here the "characters" were very real and not performers. Then she watched the leap faith that took place, with several people partaking and a sense of awe and wonder took over.

At that moment a hidden deformity of Jamie's decided to pain her. She looked at Shaun and asked "Shaun you're closer to my med bag, could you pass it here, with the tissue box please?" She held the right side of her face in discomfort.

“Got it!” Shaun quickly went to the medical bag and grabbed it, and the tissue box, and got it to Jamie. “What else do you need me to do?” He asked, worried.

"I should be okay. Thanks." Jamie said grabbing the orjel and applying some to the gum on her right side where the bone was exposed and causing issue. Once done she wiped her finger of the numbing gel as it took effect.

Shaun caught a glimpse of the bone and had to steady himself to not freak out. “….is there anything else I can do for you?”

"I am all set. Thank you for asking though Shaun." Jamie said.

“You’re welcome.” Shaun said with a small smile, glad both that Jamie was alright and the prior conversation had ended.

"So we good to go? The Curious Owl Tavern awaits." Jamie said.

“Yes!” Rebecca punched the air and gave Jamie a one-armed hug before going to sling her other arm around Shaun’s shoulders. “Let’s GO!”

The ride was only five minutes before they arrived at the Tavern.

Upon entering the Tavern it was like they were transported to Fauren. It was rustic and medieval. They found Jamie's crew waiting at big round booth.

Rebecca was in awe. Even though this wasn’t far from the house, Assassin work meant that Rebecca didn’t always have the luxury of exploring the surrounding area. (Also, there was that one incident in Italy when Shaun, Desmond, and her got a little too tipsy….the less said, the better.)

“This is so cool! I can’t believe this is so close!”

"I know. From here heading west, is my dad's, another five minutes." Jamie said. Her crew was a group of five individuals. The first up was a tall woman, and surprisingly the youngest. She had brown hair and blue eyes. She hugged Jamie tightly and said

"I am so so sorry we were separated at the Con. I got worried when I couldn't find you. I am so glad you're okay."

"Thanks Trisha. I brought some new friends of mine with me to meet you."

Jamie turned to Rebecca and said
