Why are religious people always portrayed as “wanting to control women’s sexuality”?
It’s more like, “Wanting people (women and men alike) to not be selfish, love-hating filthbags with no regards to long-term commitment and happiness.”
Religious people know that life isn’t supposed to be one long, uninterrupted sexual experience, that life isn’t supposed to constantly be about how much fun you’re having, that taking a stance against your parents to piss them off doesn’t make you in the right (which is what half of these issues boil down to).
Religious people know that there’s a REASON that humans like sex. NEWSFLASH: It’s because humans want to reproduce! It’s because humans naturally want to fall in love and raise families!
Here’s a fun party trick: Anytime anyone says, “Stop sex shaming people, sex is perfectly natural!!!,” just ask them, “Oh, so you’re reproducing then?”
After that, you’ll hear a good, hearty dose of dead silence on their end.
It’s not about what’s “natural” or “healthy” to them, it’s ONLY about them having fun and avoiding responsibility like freaking CHILDREN.
That’s what religious people are trying to avoid, we’re trying to get an entire generation of adult 12-year-olds to wake up and try self-restraint once in a while.
It’s remarkable how little sex matters when you’re not hopelessly addicted to it like the media is trying to make you.
Sex isn’t important to a relationship, nobody has casual sex because of the “health benefits” that you could get by just going to the gym, and artificial contraceptive is just a child’s way of trying to shun all responsibility and self-restraint because they don’t have the NERVE to say “no” to immediate, short-lived sexual gratification.
THERE, that’s my angry rant about how 5% of the world is trying to destroy love and is sadly succeeding.
If this were Reddit (the hive of anti-love, anti-moral bigots who don’t realize that they’re pushing their beliefs down peoples’ throats just as much as their “Old white man Christian” scapegoat does), I would get 5 messages saying “lol this guy thinks God exists”, 3 messages saying, “Lololololol kill yourself sex is fun and healthy and natural and here’s 4 links to scientific articles that don’t have any legs to stand on when it comes to morality”, and 2 messages that are quotes from the Old Testament (that Jesus refutes in the New Testament) taken out of context.
But judging by the fact that I only have, like, 30 followers (25 of them being porn bots, yeah, this new generation totally doesn’t have a porn problem, right?), I think I can just get away with a couple of people awkwardly ignoring my religious ravings and shunning me for trying to keep the torch of basic human decency lit while an ocean of self-centered morons keep blowing at the flame.
