i really liked tumblr because it really allowed its users freedoms that other social media platforms didnt, but now its going all kid friendly alot of that creativity is clearly going to get pushed out, as soon as pillowfort.io has its servers up and running again i think i will move there, people seemed to have crashed it migrating right now lol
its a good month for those lesser known sites lol
This photo is currently going viral and here’s the story behind this incredible pathological find: _ The deer this rib cage segment was from was killed some years ago by a hunter. When he dressed it this was the surprise he found inside. Apparently someone shot the same deer years prior, but it wasn’t a fatal shot. It broke a few ribs and the arrow broke off. The deer’s ribcage healed and bone grew around the arrow shaft and tip. Photo by Robert Stegall, of North Carolina, whose father shot the deer. Robert posted (on Feb 20th, 2017) stating that he received the pictured pathological find as a framed gift from his father for his 3Oth birthday, that day. Apparently he had been wanting it for some years now. _ _
“That fool thought he had killed me… when really he had just made me that much stronger.. ”

The Manchineel Tree is so toxic that, if you stand under it when it is raining, the water dripping on to you can cause chemical burns.
Happy Birthday!
This is the BEST NEWS. What a wonderful tree. Thank you so much.
Is it still a cry for help when you don’t talk to anyone? When no one knows what you do to yourself? Is it still a cry for help when no one would even listen if you did cry out?
Sometimes, you seem so lonely that it makes me wonder if there is a single thing in this world that is enough to fill in the slightest void in you, to exhaust the sadness that crawls underneath your skin.
Lukas W. // You seem so lonely (via somepiecesofmyheartandsoul)
Under my window bloomed the loveliest flowers and plants: roses that looked at me amorously; red carnations with shyly pleading scent; and laurel, climbing up the wall toward me and almost growing into my room, like a flame which always pursues me. And I wanted to write quiet songs, only for myself or at most to read them to some hidden nightingale.
Heinrich Heine, from a passage written c. October, 1833 (via autumnalsonata)
Victoria Amazonica Water Lilies can be up to 3 metres in diameter and can support the weight of an adult. They stay afloat because of the web-like structure of veins which are filled with air.
