Growing up we always had bagels, a jar of ragu and some cheese lying around. I got really good at making pizza bagels in our toaster oven and my parents didn’t think to stop me when it caught on fire. But they were yummy, and so here’s a breakfast pizza toast instead, with sourdough and sauce I made, sausage and olives, melted mozzarella and basil from the garden. I am a bit quirky when constructing my own bacon egg and cheese (BEC) breakfast sandwich. I like a big, soft, warmed roll, slightly chewy bacon, my eggs just barely cooked through and a sharp cheese. Oh yeah, and great tomatoes (always), pickles, butter and mayo.
