TAYLOR HEBERT WITH TIME REWIND POWERS IS DIABOLICAL. this may be peak.
I know it's illogical, I know I'm just mis-reading how this scene is blocked, but I swear to god it looks so much like Sayeon is making eye contact with Ryujin here as she smiles and holds another woman's hands and Ryujin hates it and obviously what i've got to do about my Snapback delusions is write a fic-
Crazy memory. Well done. (e121 - "You Were Warned" & e40 - "Wishing Well")
Thanks for reminding me to go back and read this.

rereading bits and bobs because a weekly hit isn't enough, and I'm glad I am, because it's nuts the stuff that goes over my head the first time.
Like just in episode 64:
Of course Ryujin is unwilling to use her power. The last time she did, she killed someone. That's why it's a line she won't cross. Why on earth did I not empathise with her enough to see that's what was going through her head at the time? Once you see that, it's a wonderfully painful character moment, seeing the woman behind the brash facade. It also explains why the the first time she uses her Gift it's to save the life of the girl she likes her closest friend. It comes up in the chapter, but she wants to do some good with it for once.
the guy she killed was DEFINITELY Gukhan Gyeon. The other twin.
Like she was in prison for murder. Very clear that she killed someone for what happened to her nest. Idk how I could be shown Gukhan killing her friends and think she merked someone else after that. We only see the other brother in the present day (twins only in Yesol and Taeho's flashbacks).
My being dumb aside, it adds so much juicy angst + dramatic irony and I wish I'd realised it sooner. It reframes her abrasiveness when Sayeon asks why she won't user her Gift as a cover for guilt and self-loathing (as opposed to covering weakness or insecurity). I'm so used to reading from Sayeon's perspective, putting myself in Ryujin's head is a change, and I love to think that she's thinking 'she thinks she's got me figured out, but she doesn't know'. And ofc I can't wait for Taeho to discover this.
Like this definitely pushes some heretofore unknown buttons if one of his brothers has already been killed.

We are very saddened to learn of the passing of Camelworks. He did a lot to spread love of The Elder Scrolls and its lore throughout the community, and all of our interactions with him were extremely positive. Although I only had a few direct interactions with him, he without a question was willing to assist us with our own projects to the most of his ability.
We wish the best for his friends and family. His family are asking to share your fond memories of him, and we hope that you do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIpSYI4ASgA
I think I may be illiterate because for some reason it took until Coil's chapter on the Inchworm reread for me to realise he bought his power. I don't know if I just glazed over it the first time or it just didn't go in my head because when I got to Piggot's interlude and he described what he did I was like 'oh obviously that must have been his trigger thats a perfect use of his power and its great no one would even know'.

Episode Notes:
They descend into the darkness...but only literally, right?
Brian makes Taylor talk like Buffy
SomeBug is cute and all, but what happened to our beautiful WolfSpider??
Lisa doesn't know why the Travelers are here and neither do we
Lisa... so knowledgeable and yet so naive
If this is an unprecedented level of cooperation, what will the new normal look like afterwards?
We still don't know what this book is about, or even this arc
What are the heroes doing, anyway, besides making life worse for everyone who lives in this part of town?
On the other hand, maybe what the villains are doing isn't that great either. But how else do you rescue conscripted gang members with bombs in their heads?
The narrative is giving Taylor a break on the whole villainous action thing
Lisa's trying to sell her philosophy to the wrong buyer
Brian and Lisa love Danny now. As do we
Seeing all the shocked posts about how much the Switch 2 + games are going to cost, and I was initially sitting here like:
“$450? I mean, that’s a bit of money, but my Switch I got a few years ago was $450. And the big titles like Smash Bros are ~$80 on the e-store, so I mean, that seems pretty standard to me.”
“I mean I am in Australia though, so it’ll be a little more, what’s the exchange rate again…?”
Oh
Oh.
I’ve had enough of you… GUARDS! Impregnate this man.
“They may be called the Palace Guard, the City Guard, or the Patrol. Whatever the name, their purpose in any work of heroic fantasy is identical: it is, round about Chapter Three (or ten minutes into the film) to rush into the room, and at the behest of their lord, impregnate the hero.
This book is dedicated to those fine men.”
Wonderful, the Flatline said, I never did like to do anything simple when I could do it ass-backwards.
