For a long time I thought you were exactly what I needed. I thought I grew more in your presence. I realize now that I was wrong. All you ever did was hold me back from growing as an individual. I still believe that my love for you was real, but whatever feelings were returned by you wasn’t love at all. Nothing you ever did justified any of the words you said. Even in your arms, I felt alone. I’m sad that towards the end of our spiral out, you didn’t have the decency to cut me off completely to start trying with someone new. It also makes me sad that after all the things we’ve been through together, you didn’t even think that much of me to even tell me the truth. For a long time I thought that I wasn’t good enough. But truthfully, I’ve loved you even when least deserved it, which was majority of the time. I’m happy that you’ve found comfort in someone else. I truly am happy for you, and I wish you all the best. I no longer cry due to what I thought was an emptiness from missing you, but an emptiness from missing myself. I’m so disappointed for selling myself short for so long. But now I feel content, but I don’t know how long that’ll last.
