oh my where do i START. okay, so it starts at the draft when nicole gets drafted by mtl and erin is the most excited :

queue a flurry of interviews where nicole reveals that erin's been texting her and putting in a good word for her from the moment she saw the draft order, and talks abt their growing friendship, here's a direct quote ->
"Um, just that connection, it's, it's been special, um, over the past couple of years, we definitely have gotten a lot closer. Me, playing at Worlds two years ago, um, but even before the draft, like in seeing the draft order, she was like, "I really hope you're at Montreal." Like, she was texting me, like, to leading up, and right when I got drafted, she was one of the first people to even like, blow up my phone, so um. Honestly, it's growing and I think, like, obviously, it's just a beginning. Now we're gonna be teammates full-time so, looking forward to what that has in store."
erin showering effusive praise at the season media kickoff:
"No, I've known Nicole for a lot of years. Obviously, she came into Clarkson shortly after I left Clarkson. Tore up Clarkson University in every facet. I think she broke every record possible by a defender at Clarkson University. And um, I don't know if any of you guys saw my excitement level when we drafted her, but I did kiss her on the forehead because I was so excited to have her here. So, just another person I think who is ready for the pro game. I think she skates the game so well. We've had so many great conversations about just hockey IQ, and I think that Nicole's gonna take this league by storm."
erin saying that maybe a forehead kiss should be their pregame handshake. more erin excitedly complimenting nicole. cute celly!!
erin on nicole again (it's just something abt the two of them working together...... aurgh......)
“Nicole’s going to put me in a lot of places to be successful, maybe be a little bit more offensive. I can’t get less offensive than I was last year,” she jokes and later adds, “It’s just something about the two of us working together… trying to bring our games up to another level.”
