Jeff looks down at his hands, clenching and unclenching them. His face looks worried.

“Is this… what PSI feels like?”

Jeff leans down and tries PSI Freeze a couple times on his own before gently putting his freezing fingers on Varik, hoping the cold will numb his pain at least a little. 

 “Does this feel any better? I don’t want your scars to hurt…”

Varik nods quietly as he was calm on looking "Okay so we need to figure out a way to get our powers back to normal"

Varik was quiet on just wearing his witch outfit. Currently he was protecting some students from a wreath. Of course someone tried to summon one every year. Why was it always a wreath. "Ad quos eieci te daemonis!" Varik yelled throwing a extremely strong spell as the wreath screeches disintegrating. The witch looked "What in the name of hell were you lot trying to do in summoning a wreath!" He spoke as his spell book caught the wreaths pieces quickly

Klug was holding on to a cut on his arm, the sleeve of his usually precisely ironed dress shirt torn and bloody. He was sucking in the air through his teeth in pain, and there was another large cut, this time on his face. He looked worse for wear, but judging by the nebula clouds surrounding him and the glow on his hands, he had been trying to fight the wraith on his own.

“I didn’t need your help getting rid of it!”

Why was Varik always in his way?! He was close to defeating the spirit on his own, without some kind of scruffy amateur trying to butt in all the time. Still gripping his bleeding arm, he stumbled towards Varik with anger in his eyes.

“Why do you care?! I was taking care of it myself! I’m not some petulant child that constantly needs protecting!”

“Ugh, of course you wouldn’t understand—!”

 Klug gripped at his hair, face flushed and clearly annoyed. This battle that he had been losing had been important to him even if it had been out of the blue. Wraiths could take away magical powers from even the most powerful wizards, and the person Klug was closest to had lost their powers, though it wasn’t from a tangible monster. 

Losing what was Klug’s biggest part of himself was his greatest fear, so defeating the wraith almost seemed like a vengeance mission to him. He didn’t expect or want Varik to understand, but he was still upset.

 “Fine. It doesn’t matter, just as long as you got rid of it.”

Varik nods “yes I did!” he spoke angrily to the other as he growls sharply. His eyes were glowing “summon them again and I’ll put down a more stricter punishment, do you understand me!” he spoke furiously. His eyes were glowing. He was furious.

He hated this kid’s arrogance, it irritated him more then words.

“How many times do I have to tell you, you ignorant fool?! I didn’t summon it, and I would have gotten rid of it myself had you not intervened!”

 Klug gritted his teeth. Why did Varik have to constantly poke his nose into his business? Sure, magical creatures were certainly dangerous, but Klug was definitely intelligent enough to handle them.

Varik growls quietly but keeps his cool before seeming to look "just don't do that again." He states briefly as he went turning as he grabs Vanessa to look at the creature that was now trapped in her pages

 Jeff smiles and takes another sip of his cold coffee, cradling it with his other hand. His bright blue eyes looking over Varik with concern.

 “Enough of my rambling. What’s been going on with you? What happened to the nurse you weee living with?”

“She moved up state, and my dad got pissy told her that he’d fight for custody of me and so I told her that I’ll stay and visit” he briefly spoke as he sips his cocoa

Jeff sucked in the air through his teeth and frowned. 

 “Yikes.”

 He gripped onto his coffee mug a little tighter and looked away, the gears in his head turning a mile a minute. He always thought was a bit of an expert on bad fathers, but Variks father was so wildly different than Doctor Andonuts that he didn’t know what to do. If he was willing to battle that nurse for custody, what else would he do to have Varik back…?

 “What can Tony and I do? You’re welcome to stay here as long as you need, but I worry about your father…”

Jeff looks down at his hands, clenching and unclenching them. His face looks worried.

“I understand. I don’t know a lot about my family either.” 

 Jeff shrugs a little, making an action as to push up his glasses before realizing he wasn’t wearing them anymore. He smiled st his mistake and looks back at Varik. He did look very different wearing his glasses. 

 “You get used to the feeling after a while. I assume that’s the same with PSI and magic. 

 So, about your scars… maybe I can help? Do you know any healing PSI or spells?”

“Uhhh no I don’t but don’t worry about it.” He spoke used to being in pain and so not wanting to bother him with it.

Jeff gave a small frown. He greatly disliked the idea of Varik in pain, especially if there was a way to prevent it. He thought for a minute, before slowing responding.

 “Well… how about PSI Freeze? I could use the cold as a numbing agent until we find a more medical way to treat your pain.”

The male looked shrugging softly “if you wanna” he mumbles softly to the other as he yawns softly “mmm” he stretches up softly

Klug gave a small wince as he kept writing down his usual extensive notes in careful cursive. He kept his skeptical expression as Varik continued to win the admiration of every other student in the room. Why should be suddenly be enamoured with a few illegal spells? He already knew they existed, why should he have to see some sort of demonstration? 

He was only eager to see things that would improve his skill, not spells he wouldnt be able to use.

 He’d say so, but that would just be askig for trouble.

A student put his hand up as Varik looked “yeah” he asks as the student looked “have you ever used spells like this in your witch career.” He asks. “Yes I have. I have done multiple of these spells but all on a creature known as a wreath” Varik explains as he looked “as my lovely book Vanessa will show” he explains as the spell book opened as soon a wreath came out in a bubble giving a loud screech.

“Now these suckers have a tendency to go for humans but they also can go for wizards and suck out their magical essence” he explains “They can and will make you mortal and they have no feeling about it”

Klug hadn’t had much interest in magical creatures before, so the information about the wraith was new to him. He looked mostly unfazed when it first came out of the book (it was no different than Alizarin appearing from the Record of Sealing), but when he heard about what they actually did he couldn’t help but wince. 

The part about a wizard losing their magical ability hit a little close to home for him, though he doubted that this creature was the one who stole his mother’s mahical ability. But nonetheless he raised his hand. 

 “If a wizard has had their magical ability stolen, is there any way to recover it?”

"Theres not any known way at the moment, but many magic schools have been giving the topic a research for victims of these creatures." He explains calmly to the other as the book placed the wraith back inside as Varik turned to the board writing something.

"Now. If you need a spell to get you out of a tough battle or a dungeon. This is your spell. Evcau. This spell will immediately send you out" he states calmly

The red haired boy was quiet in sitting on a swing just watching the other kids as they avoided approaching him. It’s not like he’d blame them however. The boy quietly staring as he watched the kids talk to their moms. He wished his mom was here. But she wasn’t. Varik quietly looking at his feet as he simply swung in silence

Before noting a commotion on the other side of the playground. Deciding to investigate

The young boy stared at Varik as he boldly introduced himself. He was loud, probably one of the loudest people Jeff had met, but ranted he hadn’t known many people besides his father and countless other teachers and medical professionals. 

He nodded, not replying with his own name most likely due to his limited speech, And continued to pet the large dog that was still nuzzling him and licking his face. He sat down next to the red-eyes boy, Bonzo soon following suit, and Jeff laid down using the dogs back as a pillow. 

He stared at Varik with large I’m blue eyes and waited for him to keep talking.

The boy looked calmly as he tilts his head. He looked calmly as Bonzo quietly licked his face. “what’s your name?” he asks confusedly. He was curious of the other as he didn’t know how to make the other open up more.

He knew people could be shy… but he sucked at being friendly.

Jeff looked content enough to fall asleep right there, leaning on the dog’s back. He looked up at Varik, but his expression changed and he gave a small, excited smile when the other asked for his name. He got asked that often, and that was an answer he knew how to say! He sat up eagerly.

 “J-Jeff.” 

 His young voice sounded off, like he was just learning how to speak and his voice was a little rusty. But he seemed eager to respond, at least.

"Nice to meet you Jeff" he spoke calmly smiling at the other with a relaxed glance as he quietly sat down. "Bonzos nice ain't he." He grins at the other as the dog just appeared to be sitting now

Fassad smiled and lifted his leg, “Have a good lunch.” he left the room at a relaxed pace.

The door slammed open and Varik was easily pushed to the ground but someone’s boot, “I heard there was a new chimera around here.” the voice was cheerful, a stark contrast to the speakers actions, “Also they heard they broke a rib by being a little bitch.”

When can I go home.” He spoke angrily as he didn’t like it here. He wanted to go back to T, back to the club where he could perform and actually do things that make people happy instead of being a lab rat.
