Disjointed Ramblings
Today I feel wrong, incorrect, erroneous. Too broad and not wide enough, bits of me are too big and others are too small, I have things where there shouldn’t be things and I lack things where I should have them. This is not a new feeling, but it’s only part of a larger feeling.
The world is sliding past, around me in a blur. A film of fuzz insulating me and isolating me. Conversations and activities whirl around me in a hurricane of living around my still eye of being.
I see beings with the courage to live their lives in a fashion truer to their inner selves than I dare. Particularly as I look back at the catalogue of yesterdays that see me cowering with fear, even as I stand tall to face the world with my chest puffed and head held high as though with pride.
I feel empty. The whirlwind of life tears around me as I face the bleak landscape of the futures that I paint for myself. Countless presents present themselves to me, all of them colouring me as better suited to the world and thriving in it, or exactly as i am now and crashing harder and burning more fiercely.
Things i once loved turn to ash and listlessness in my grasp. My resolve, once as hard and true as steel, is now pitted and twisted to its core; burned away by the acidic feelings that eat away at my self. Any joys or pleasures that i feel are shallow and fleeting at best.
When i shield myself from the world or hide my face away from it I invariably find myself peering past great and hideous spades. If I try to drop my gaze i shame or fear or despair I am confronted by monstrous, clownish shoes that hide my feet that are as unwieldy as they are weary.
Throughout i have struggled with personal problems with grammar and emerged largely on the right side of the rules, even though my biggest issue is the fact that i barely believe that I deserve to be recognised as a person-hood with a capital i
Every now and then I feel like I’m a fraud, an imposter in my own life. Like I’m not who I’m supposed to be.

A lot of self reflection and introspection
So. In the last few days I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I’ve come to three realisations, three big realisations about myself. They were fairly painful realisations and arriving at one of them cost a friend of mine a fair amount of my regard.
first and foremost, i realised that I’m scared, this fear comes in two parts, the first and most prominent part is the fear for my life, well-being and safety and the lives, well-being and safety of my friends that comes from the realisation that there are people who hate me so much that they want to kill me and everyone like me because of who I love and what I am. The second part is a collection of fears that I’m not ‘enough’ to really be part of the LGBT+ community: that I’m not gay enough or bisexual enough because of my perceived shortcomings in my sexual history; that I’m not feminine enough when I feel particularly female because of how my body is physically; that I’m not enough of an active member of the community to count myself as a member, or to be hurt or scared by the atrocity in Orlando.
The next realisation that i came to is that I’m ashamed. I’m not ashamed of who i love, or feel attracted to, I’m not ashamed of how i feel about my gender and how i express myself. I’m ashamed of the fear that i feel about my inadequacies. I’m ashamed that i don’t take more of an active part in the community, ashamed that I’m letting these fears limit what I do and how i carry and present myself.
The last realisation is the one that has thrown a shadow over a friendship. I can respect their standpoint, and I utterly understand the pain that they were arguing from. However this realisation came during a conversation about how to deal with people that hold extremist beliefs. This person held the belief that the way to deal with extremists is to kill them or deport them. I believe that this is wrong, that the best way to deal with them is to engage with them and help them understand why they are wrong, and if that fails then we need to ensure that they are dealt with in such a way that they are in no position to cause any further harm to the rest of society without infringing on their human rights. The realisation that i came to during this discussion was that my principals are iron, i will not bend of break them for any circumstance, or for anyone. I will stand up for the ideals that i believe in, I will defend them to my dying breath, and i will not compromise them for anyone. even if that does make me seem weak to some. I will not let myself, or the community that I love being a part of at the same time as being scared of being rejected by it, be reduced down to the same level as the animals that attack us.
My hear and soul, and thoughts go out to all the friends, relatives and loved ones of those killed and injured.
Igor Volsky, Deputy Director of the Center for American Progress Action Fund, spent much of yesterday calling out our lawmakers who claim to have thoughts and prayers for the Orlando victims but accepted money from the NRA. Ted Cruz’s tweet may have been the most hypocritical of all.
was hoping someone would compile these

For anyone who thinks the LGBT awareness ending with marriage equality. For anyone who says “but what about straight pride”
My people are dying.
We are getting abused and shot for things we haven’t done. We don’t hurt anyone we don’t harm anything. We can’t wear our colours because we might get hurt.
We have a right to live.
LGBT pride is never over. The fight has only just begun.

You know you're European when:
They have to defuse a WW2 bomb in your city and nobody is really concerned because that happens from time to time.
WHAT #noteuropean
dude there’s entire fields in the west part of Belgium that just has a small “Watch out, mine field” on it, and sometimes farmers don’t know and put cows on it and they get blown up. Shit happens. #WW2
Happens because of WW1 (WW2 too but there’s less stuff left) in northern France too.
Almost walked on a non explosed pair of shells while looking for mushrooms.
I was born in a small town in south Hungary… they didn’t just find one WW2 bomb somewhere around the town… they found 1200 bombs right outside the town in 2014.
Yes, around 1200 German SD-1 fragmentation bombs… only found in 2014!
I love those radio announcements. This part of the city, along with this highway and also, all trains going through, are going to be shut down on Saturday afternoon because bomb.
And all anyone bitches about is the detour they’re forced to take because if it didn’t blow up the past 71 years, they could have waited another week to defuse it, couldn’t they? Eugh.
there’s a flood? oh hello forgotten WWII ammunition in large quantities you go take a walk in the forest? oh hey WWII mine! kids play football in a field? good thing they didn’t kick that mine they found. someone actually looks through the old metal parts in a salvage yard? anti-aircraft mines! tbh nobody usually makes a great fuss because it very rarely actually hurts someone. but yeah until now I was always like ‘lol another one’ and never thought about it much XD
There’s a roadblock in the middle of the city? Oh no worries it’s just a bomb. A whole block gets evacuated? Oh no worries. Bomb. #LifeinGermany
same in czech… we literally have closed forests where no one can go, because mines everywhere and lol, our neighbor was building water well on his garden last year and he is digging and digging and then he hits something solid, surprise it’s a wwii bomb…
Here’s one being detonated in Yorkshire in 2009 (from WW2)
Wtf are you guys ok
Yeah it’s fine, this shit is essentially gossip material and nothing more
To all the Americans who don’t understand Eurovision.
I don’t understand why Donald Trump is an American presidential candidate.
I’m so glad about Eurovision’s level of self-awareness!
