Mommy work.

Another move in the near future, this time were going NORTH! We haven't done much traveling north besides coming home.  So now looking at places by Rochester NY. Seen a lot of mixed things about up there. Good and bad. I’m ready for a new place though. I different road trip, new area to learn. 

So as a stay at home mommy, I’ve been taking on a few things to do at home to help me with some extra cash. I’ve tried the online surveys and Ebates. All that good stuff and nothing like that worked for me. So I took on selling Younique make-up, and Country Scent candles. (Which I’ll provide the links for my pages at the end.)  I love doing this, I’ve also made more money doing these two things than I ever made with anything else! I’ve only been doing it 2 weeks. The start up costs are a bit, but 100% worth it and I’ve almost made all my money back already. I made up some business cards to hand out and built a good cutomer base so I would say I’m starting off on the right foot. 

This weather is killing me. Cold and rainy, or sunny and chilly. I wish mother nature would make up her mind. I kinda can’t wait for fall but at the same time...I do need more of a summer. 

Random notes;

I completed 15 months of breastfeeding, and our journey has come to an end. Let me tell you it was emotional. I love that I have MY body back and I can take things in, and not worry so much about Conner taking it in. But boy oh boy do I miss those moments snuggled up with my little guy. We have a strong bond now and he is so healthy and I’m glad I gave him such a good start at life. 

Conner has 12 teeth now! The molars decided to come through (HELL!!!) I never thought him being cranky would end. Now he eats seriously Everything. (He did before too.) 

Overall, things are going smooth and were getting ready for more adventures. 

Cody’s union job is treating him very well. I’m glad he decided to make this change and take this job that is going to get him places.

Back in Pennsylvania. (Picture was taken on the drive back from Ohio. Quick snap so forgive the low quality.)  While Cody is laid off we decided to “vacation” back home. Let me tell you this is not my idea of a vacation. Yes I like to see my family, have some help with Conner. But this mommy would love to have her fat ass on the beach for even just a weekend. So now the crazy has started. We’ve been here a week and 4 days (But hey, whos counting). Waiting on Cody’s call back to work is like waiting for a break in this rain in Pa. Which right now is crazy and never ending. We need a break from that for sure. Cody has found work here that he started as soon as we got here because he wants money coming in between his jobs. (He’s a hard working man let me tell you.)  Well today I’ve accomplished nothing. Like no shower or anything. I did get Dunkin Iced coffee and lunch for Conner and I. But I did some cleaning in our room and the bathroom (UGH) also breathed in some NASTY 409 (Cleaning product) while I closed both doors to the bathroom. Oppps. Conner is napping so I didn’t want the smell going in his room. 

Which remind me Conner is having a hard time sleeping in his own room here. The first night we got here and he screamed being in there...so mommy and daddy moved his bed in our room. Ever since then....this is where he has stayed. He has never had a problem being in his own room since day one. Always has had his space. During the day he is in his room a lot playing with all the toys and being wild. Very independent and can keep himself happy. But at night the bed in there he WILL NOT take too.  I went to the doctors last week to talk to someone about anxiety which turned into after I get done nursing they want to look at an everyday pill for it, but right now want me on crazy Xanax which I haven’t taken because I’m not sure how to feel about nursing and being on it. Given it is the lowest dose and I can go with taking half...But I’m not sure. So I have them for the nights I cant sleep. Which hasn't happened thankfully. 

Well with that, maybe I’ll try and nap. Or look up things I don’t really need to know.

Life it’s self is crazy.

I forgotten all about my posts the last few weeks with everything going on. My brother graduated from high school, starting online college myself, being a mom, a wife, support system. All of it takes over my day quick. We’ve been to PA and back, but back in Ohio in our house. Conner is growing so fast. I’m looking to put him in daycare part time so I can look for a part time job also. My schooling has a three week trail period so it’s not set in stone that I’m a student all the way yet. But I’m worried I got into the wrong field. LOL!

It’s none stop. GO GO GO. All the time. I forget to take a minute for myself and just breath. My sleep the last few weeks has been HORRIBLE. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent laying in bed just going over everything in my head so it all goes over well the next day. 

I know things will all work out, but I like having it all set out and in front of me that way I know how to make it easier on everyone else. But No more of that. ME time. 

On the upside my little man is walking up a storm, running all over, new thing is climbing the chairs in the kitchen. Which we have been trying to put a stop to lol. He finally after a year met another Uncle from Cody’s side. They all live far away so it’s always my family that’s around.  Cody and I are good! He’s working his butt of and it’s so hot out lately but he doesn’t complain much. Ever. 

I started a big health kick now I’m trying to eat better and cook better meals for not just me but also my family. I start working out tonight and I just want to overall feel and look at myself better than I have been. 

Enough of all the venting though. Time to get cooking dinner and finish up chasing around Conner so he can eat and have a bath and relax before bed!

This week..

Happy Thursday! This week has been SO Cray Cray. Sunday Conner and I traveled 2 hours to Danville PA, stayed the night in a hotel there...Monday morning he had a doctors appointment at the hospital there, everything turned out great thank gosh because I've been stressing over it for weeks now. Then after his appointment about 12 o'clock we got in the road again to travel four and a half hours to Cody. We got to Ohio about 5 o'clock. The trip was great until around Pittsburg, we drove right through the storms that hit upper PA. It was scary the rain and not being able to see so well. But we got here safely and daddy was so happy to see Conner, and me too. (: Yesterday I made a few phone calls and looked into some colleges that are online, and flexible. I had a few call me and send me info...one caught my attention. Kaplan University! I want to go for certified billing and coding specialist (CBCS) it's to me a perfect mix of the business field, and medical field that I was interested in. So I have a few more steps to complete and talk to Cody more and ill make up my mind 100% by next week. I'm excited to be making this next BIG step. Well time to finish up my moms, and mother in laws, mothers day gifts. We came up with some crafts to do for them so I'm in charge of it all if you can imagine. Have a good week. Almost the weekend!

Is it really a bad diaper, if you don't get it on your finger?

I swear as soon as Conner learned to roll...his diaper changes became hell. So it takes two sometimes, or if there isn't two I give him a toy, or my phone, or a remote to get through the change as quick and easy as I can. Well when a number two it seems to be a little to long for him. So he tries to roll with the toy and then I end up getting it on me in some way. If that was someone else's child oh no that would not work for me. But I don't even flinch anymore. I wipe it quick with the wipe and move on. We don't have time to react to that or it's going more places than on me. Recently Conner and I have picked up walking on our play dates with his little friend Declan. Those two get to ride in the strollers and us mommies walk. We did twice this week after the boys played in the grass we walked over 7 miles this week. PersonalGoal next week; 10! I feel so much better after it. A good way to vent to a friend (she understands my situations perfectly & doesn't judge me. She's married with two children.), it chases away any anxiety that might be trying to surface, oh and its healthy. With Cody gone I feel off a lot about not having us together, and him being alone. But we talk daily, video chat when he can, and Conner loves seeing him even if its only for the short time he will focus on my phone. Today's plan is to go get mommy some summer clothes. Considering every time I have been told to go get myself some, I end up getting Conner more. So lets attempt this again. I can always get him something small after I get mine done Lol.

Here comes One.

It’s been awhile, and I need a serious rant.

I’m in Pennsylvania back home and Cody is still in West Virginia. We seen each other Easter weekend. Only spent one night together in a hotel and woke up Easter morning with Conner. Snuggled in bed, had breakfast and had a good time together. But I’m missing him. A lot. I finally finished and received my GED :-) All done, now looking into online school. I can’t wait to get started. Give accomplishment for me.

Yesterday we had Conner’s photo shoot for his first birthday! Ugh they came out so awesome. I can’t wait to share. We had a rough time with starting off and it didn’t go as planned but he’s a baby and it can’t be perfect lol. We had cupcakes afterwords and enjoyed his balloons he got.

I feel so overwhelmed today. Everything is just hitting me at once and I don’t really have much more on my plate. I mean Conner is seriously wild today and I’m tired a little more than normal but hey, I’m a mom.

Well going to enjoy some Orange is the New Black, while Conner runs around getting into everything I just picked up lolol.

The struggle of babies not being able to talk.

Well to explain my night in one word, Disaster. Conner had taken a bath with me, relaxed and was ready for bed and his bottle by 9:30 p.m. he drank the whole bottle and fell asleep on me, no fight. Slept for 45 minutes and this is where it all started. I would pick him up, lay him next to me to nurse him, he would lay there and simply pass back out. Did this 3-4 times. 1 o'clock comes around and he’s screaming. Kicking and throwing his arms, and arching his back. Won’t let me do anything. Cody woke up at this point and asked what he could help with. So I was thinking there was to much cereal in the bottle, or he’s colic because this has been a fight the past few nights. I noticed after attempts to help him, he would cry as he tried to pass gas. Never crossed my mind all this could be gas because he was also burping a lot. We have a massager and it vibrates. Cody held it to Conner’s belly and he went quiet. He was laying there relaxed. So a little after we put on his favorite movie (The Good Dinosaur) he watched that for a little. Here it goes again I have him sitting up laying against my chest and bouncing. He’s screaming all over. Cody had gone to bed, I dropped the pacifier, Cody forgot to plug in the white noise machine, and I turned the tv off. So it’s pretty quiet. I put the massager between us and bounce hoping at the rate it works. I’m putting myself to sleep. He’s asleep. Now do I dare move? I’ll give it a try. A straight shot to the pack and play. He’s in. Didn’t move. Out cold. Then I sneak in bed, looking at my phone its 3 a.m.! I thought ok he will sleep until noon because we went to bed so late. Nope 8 a.m. mom!!! Get up. He’s ready to take on the world. So we wake up dad and off to get coffee we go. 11:00 a.m. and he’s down for his first nap. I’m showered, and now waiting for it to start again. In the mean time I’m thinking I’m going for the homeless look today, we’re just going to do laundry! Tomorrow Conner and I leave for PA. Nervous about this trip again. Have a blessed Sunday. P.s. still not sure if its colic or was gas…he has a doctors appointment Wednesday so I’ll find out more then. & the bunny represents me trying to stay awake today…ugh help me.

While Conner naps, I'm going go put a few things about me out there. Born and raised in Pennsylvania. I go back and forth between girly girl and tomboy. I'm 21, going to be 22 in June. I got pregnant at 20 years old, and had him 10 day's before my 21st birthday. I'm a breastfeeding mom (10 months strong!), so no I never got wild at 21. I didn't feel I needed to because well I had my baby boy, and I was very crazy as a teen so I drank enough, now I was just legal to do so. Married my best friend Cody (23 years old) this February 2017. We have quite the past, we've been together 4 years and were strong together. I have a brother who's 17, a pain in my ads but my best friend. My mom and dad are separated still see them both. I recently felt the need to write, blog, or do something to get things out and I decided well shit why not put it out there for other people to read. Entertain people with my rants. I have a few select girlfriends I'm still close with. Other than that I keep to myself. Having a baby really shows who will and won't be around. Well better finish up things here and get a few little tasks done before Conner gets up. Happy Saturday.
