I got to make today’s Google Doodle for NASA’s Trappist-1 announcement! It was a crazy exciting project cause we had no forewarning about this announcement and decided as a team to just make a doodle as fast as we could.  

I took on the project and concepted, designed and animated the whole doodle in about 5 hours.  It was a wild ride and a lot of fun, things always get interesting when you have to work under pressure like that. But the doodle team is amazing and everyone was supportive and helpful in us getting it launched!

Thought I’d shard a bit of the process for making it and some storyboards as well!

As far as I am concerned, she has nights where they make food from the cultures of each respective kid. And she makes sure all her kids maintain their dual citizenship (where they’re from and US) & visit often. Jolie is an exception, she doesn’t steal, she respects, embraces and accepts. She raises her children with understanding and compassion of people of different race and culture. Bravo.

some of my favourite absolutely SICK facts about the trappist-1 exoplanets: - theyre all very close to one another and to their star, so the length of a year on them varies from 1 to 20 DAYS - since they’re so close, the star appears a lot bigger than our sun from earth, and from one planet you could easily see the rest, some would even appear bigger than the moon from earth. you could literally see the surface of another planet with the naked eye!!! - they’re probably tidally locked to their star like our moon is locked to earth, meaning only one side of a planet ever faces the star, and on the other side it’s always night. the sun never sets or rises on any of the planets - the star is red, so the sunlight is red/orange, meaning if, for example, plants were to grow there, they could be black and that’s just what we know now, imagine how much cool stuff we have yet to discover about the trappist-1 system

"I have struggled with chronic depression, anxiety, PTSD and eating disorders since childhood. For most of my adult life, I functioned on autopilot. After aging out of care (foster care) at age 18, I successfully completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and have been ABD (since 1999) for my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. Through serendipitous events and with the help of others, I lived and worked at 3 amazing jobs in the United States for 16 years. Five years ago, the bottom fell out of my life. Surviving my childhood traumas and my time spent in care wasn't enough. I needed to find ways to thrive. Since returning to Canada 3 years ago, I have fought to obtain the kind of mental health treatment/services I desperately needed to build the foundation upon which I could begin to thrive. My efforts paid off when I entered the Women Recovering from Abuse Program (WRAP) at Women's College Hospital in Toronto. That program changed my life in ways that I cannot begin to enumerate. WRAP has put me on the right path but there is still much work to be done. Part of that work will be to put a number of resources in place that will help me to begin to live again. One of those resources will be the adoption of a dog that will be trained to help me to reduce anxiety, break isolation, increase companionship, set a regular schedule, and reduce symptoms of depression and thoughts of suicide. I am requesting your help with the adoption and training process. All funds collected will support the following:-adoption fees-puppy starter kit-group/ individual training sessions -first comprehensive vet visit-spaying/neuter feesThanks in advance for your donations.
