Like Father, Like Daughter (Bttf fanfiction with Mary Brown)
I am in my room working on my first invention. I’ve always been into science like my parents, especially my dad. So now, I’m finally giving inventing a try. I’ve made a robot! I just need to attach this one last wire and I’m golden. But as I’m plugging it into my product, a shock wracks my body! I scream at the top of my voice.
All at once, my dad bursts into the room. “What happened Mary?!” “I got shocked a little,” I reply.
“Are you hurt?”
“No, it just startled me.”
“Oh, good,” says Dad. “So what are you up to?”
“I just finished my first invention! Wanna see?
“Of course!”
I press a button. The robot eyes light up as it whirs to a start. It starts to fold the old clothes on my bed. “See?” I say. “Now I don’t have to waste time folding laundry. I can get back to doing more important stuff!”
“Seriously, Mary?” Dad shakes his head, but he’s laughing whilst doing so. I join in. Once our laughing subsides, I gaze back at my Dad. His eyes look a little misty. “Jokes aside, I’m really proud of you,” he says, pulling me into an embrace. I beam. Not only have I fulfilled my dream of inventing, I’ve made my father proud. And that’s what I want most of all.
