the worst part of summer is that people get sooo comfortable expressing their disgust at having to see other people’s bodies. they’re always complaining about wrinkly old men at the nude hot springs or fat women in bikinis at the beach. on this picture i drew Alexandr Andreevich Alexandrov - cavalry officer of the russian imperial army that participated in napoleonic wars. people persistently keep on misgendering mispronounsing deadnaming and calling him a crossdresser although alexandrov clearly stated that he didn't want to be called by his deadname and being treated like anything but a man. that's an interesting historical figure and i wanted to draw attention to his person. i can't tell everything about him in only one post so i recomend you to read about alexandrov by yourself

I love it when there's artists online who seem to exclusively draw characters who are cute thick anime ladies with hips wider than their shoulders and tits bigger than their heads, in completely nonsexual situations, and comfortable and stylish-looking fairly nonsexualised clothing, where it's clear that the artist evidently started drawing because they were horny, and kept drawing because it's fun. Like sure, an outfit of a nice floral pattern sun dress and cozy sweater didn't need a cleavage window, but the focus of this drawing is so clearly on who this character is and what she's doing, that unless you go out of your way to look for it, you don't really even notice that her tits are literally larger than her head.

I think this world isn’t ever about the finished product it’s about the creative process along the way. The end painting never matters without the small triumphs and reworks and thought process behind it, the poem never hits deep without the learning and emotions behind it. The artistry and beauty of life is in the doing, a cup of tea tastes great but the small respite from everything else in the world while you make it is almost more beautiful, or at the very least it makes the tea taste better for your own appreciation and sense of accomplishment. Who and what you are when you die really doesn’t matter. It’s everything you’ve done along the way that leaves an impact.
