okay, with part two of JSHK blu-ray being released in a few days, all I am humbly requesting is that they change Hanako’s expression in the Mitsuba episode so that it matches his expression in the manga 🙏 🙏 🙏

I just now realised how Yashiro and Hanako situations are totally the opposite: Yashiro a girl who wants (and deserves) to live without a future and Hanako (or better say Amane) a boy whose life was long but he himself decided to cut it off.

Ooh yes—like, we have Amane, who gives up his prized Lunar Rock because it makes him feel like he can go anywhere. And we have Nene who has all these plans for the future—such going to college and wearing a pure white wedding dress—

And Amane decides he’s not going anywhere whilst Nene cries out “I don’t want to stay here forever! I want to live a real life!”

So it’s really fascinating how Amane and Nene parallel each other in opposite ways :/

I love that Hanako, whether he’s aware of it or not, is using Antares as metaphor for himself. And what he is really saying is that *he* no longer exists. And that even though Nene can see him—he is nothing more than a star who died out a long time ago, whose light is only just reaching her.
