I think I can feel my heart healing
Talking to a certain special person from the heart and feeling each other on a true emotional basis can center one in so many different ways, itās legit incredible
I judge how good a book is based on how disoriented I am with my physical surroundings after closing it.
me after finishing a good ass book
I want more white people to talk to other white people about how racist they used to be and how they are now no longer that way. I donāt want to hear it. And they need to create safe spaces for themselves to talk about it. Because honestly a lot of these white folk are acting like they have always been āwokeā and I donāt trust shit out of their mouth if they canāt admit that there was at least a moment when they realized their white privilege and decided to check themselves.
I thought it was going to be problematic but then it got so wholesome.
let love in. believe compliments. be vulnerable and soft-hearted. tell people you love that you love them. see beauty in everyday things. live life like youāre in a movie. thereās a world outside the walls you built.Ā donāt be afraid to begin again.
i think cutting family members who have hurt and traumatized you out of your life is very fun and fresh and sexy and i think that people who says things likeĀ āfamily is familyā or question people for their choice to do something like that have no understanding of just how bad it can be
This is one of the most positive millennial threads Iāve ever seen
Its why weāre so anxious and sad all the time
thatās some damn tea
If extending a right to all people reduces your rights in any way?Ā That means that right has been dependent on the oppression of someone else.
It means youāve been profiting from the subjugation of others in some way.Ā Are you good with that?
i really admire people who do things. i hope to be someone who does things one day
Important.
New Release šš½ www.sanctuarypublishers.com/shop "Veganism of Color: Decentering Whiteness in Human and Nonhuman Liberation" is a Vegans-of-Color community-led effort edited by Julia Feliz Brueck
āForget everything youāve heard from mainstream white veganism; this isnāt a book about single-issue advocacy through the most privileged of lenses. āVeganism of Colorā is a compilation of writings from seldom-heard voices of color drowned out by the same white noise that systematically oppresses us allā vegan or not. This community-led effort is a call from Vegans of Color to People of Color to decenter whiteness and work towards dismantling a form of oppression that, although very different, interconnects with our own. Embracing a social justice spectrum that is aware of, and working against, all forms of supremacy is a must if we are going to achieve true liberation from systems of oppression for ourselves and other marginalized communities.ā
Yeah theyāre cute, but do they:
Respect you?
Do they value you?
Are they capable of deep empathy and communication?
Do they seek to understand?
Do they love themselves?
Are they a positive influence on your life?
Do they support you and your decisions?
Do they take actions to show they care?
Would they stick by your side during a crisis?
I keep seeing this fucking argument about trans people using bathrooms likeĀ āWell if that had been an option for me back in the day I totally wouldāve signed up as aĀ ātrans-whateverā to get into the girlsā locker room back in high schoolā Ā (Yeah, the fuckwit on FB I saw earlier actually saidĀ ātrans-whateverā).
Like, you really, genuinely think that you, as a 16 year old presumably straight teenage boy would have changed your name, requested everyone you know call you by different pronouns, changed your entire wardrobe and look, went to school presenting yourself as a girl, dealt with the bullshit you would likely have gotten from your parents, family, friends, classmates, teachers, doctors, neighbors, people on the street, and rearranged your entire lifeā¦
Because you maybe, might have possibly caught a glimpse of a titty in the locker room?
Yeah, itās clearly the trans people we should be worried about.
I always find it interesting that they seem to think that declaring āGiven the opportunity I absolutely would have been a sexual predatorā is a defense of their position.
I always find it interesting that they seem to think that declaring āGiven the opportunity I absolutely would have been a sexual predatorā is a defense of their position.
I am just going to save this, modify pronouns as needed, and use it as a response to this. Forever.
