AT 37, AND DOING MORE RUNNING AND TRAINING❗️ Two months after my ankle injury, it was never easy to start doing activities. I couldn’t walk farther. My ankle still swells again and again from too much walking especially when I’m at work. One thing that scared me most was I knew I lost balance. I couldn’t raise my left leg and let another one stand alone. I felt my body was already like a withering leaf each day. It was distressing. I never liked waking up in the morning and doing nothing. THAT IS NOT ME! I’m used to getting into my trainers and getting sweaty early in the morning. So, I did myself a favor. I started with a 10-minute meditation routine every morning right after saying my prayer. I started with a very light exercise; Hatha yoga that focuses more on proper breathing and stretching. Believe me, it was still kind of demanding in my situation that my leg had lost its balance. It was never easy, but I was just lucky to be with amazing trainers at the yoga center. Thanks to them, I eventually got back to my feet, stronger. I then added my full-body strength training workout at least three times a week. Exactly four months now after my injury, I decided to get back running, slowly and gently, trying to feel that tingling pain in my precious ankle. Amazingly, there was none! I’ve been running for a week now, though slower than my normal pace, I’m still grateful for my achievement this week - 10.89 km at 6.27/km pace in 1h 10m duration. I won’t be able to do this all again if my effort wasn’t consistent and without God’s healing touch. This is another answered prayer, and I’m looking forward to more of this. As I age, I will do more running and training! #phuket #lifestyle #training #fitness #running #fitspiration #active #fitnessmotivation #fitspo #tagforlikes #followforfollowback (at เขื่อนบางวาดภูเก็ต - Bangward Dam) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNeVzVaH1RB/?igshid=17dmjzwrquy3r
