Hugh Dancy & Mads Mikkelsen Hannibal — Season 3 Gag Reel
Hannibal 1.03 Potage | 1.07 Sorbet | 1.08 Fromage | 2.13 Mizumono | 3.10 And the Woman Clothed in Sun | 3.13 The Wrath of the Lamb
I will forever be insane about the colors of the costumes in s3. Following the whole "Hannibal is the devil" thing [the devil -> Lucifer -> Lightbringer?], we constantly see Hannibal in all-white.
His suit is white, his room is white, his mask is white. Will on the other hand is dressed in dark colors. Looking at the costumes in Mizumono
Jep, Hannibal is wearing a white shirt again. Probably also because red blood stains are more visible on white clothing.
NOW. Wrath of the lamb. They start out like this:
Again, Will in his dark clothes, Hannibal in white. Then. Cut. They've changed clothes.
Will has finally given in to Hannibal, he’s finally killed with him. And he’s wearing white. Hate this show
i like to think about them after the fall a lot. years after. will finally getting grey hairs to match hannibal’s, letting his beard grow out ever so slightly, just so it’s not stubble anymore. his arm having extremely limited mobility and hannibal having a daily ritual of helping will with physical therapy for it because he’d be damned if will couldn’t still spend long days out fishing by himself or wrangle the dogs when they got too jumpy. not that hannibal wouldn’t help will with any of those things if will found himself unable to do them. and hannibal would be terrible at enforcing the dog’s rules because he’d take to feeding them scraps and will would be aggravated about it but not really do anything to stop it because hannibal smiled whenever will scolded him. and will would wear the expensive shirts hannibal got for him because hannibal liked dressing him up and will would be lying if he said the clothes weren’t nice. and there would be fresh meat in their freezer but hannibal would move slower for a day or two after a particularly brutal kill because no matter how strong you are, pushing 60 will take its toll. will would learn how to use a blow torch for baking and hannibal would tie the occasional fishing fly. teacups would sit idle in the cupboards.
hannibals tenderness towards will in this scene is so possessive and obsessive and filled with devotion
the loose grip on wills wrist? the slow lift giving will plenty of time to pull away if he wanted to? hannibals hand being able to hold all of wills? his pointer finger going to twine between wills thumb? hannibals thumb most likely stroking his hand below the cut?
Will: I miss my dogs, gtfo my sight i don't ever want to see you again or know where you are or what you do i don't want to think about you anymore.
Will, one season later: I miss you babygirl please help me and we will break you outa jail, wink wink puppy eyes adorable looking face i need you.
Hannibal: 😏.
thinking about the fact that hannibal (while in jail) drew will naked from behind. again. its the seventh time this week. please.
enemies to lovers trope where the 2 characters are still enemies and will always remain enemies, they won’t openly become “lovers” and they won’t ever say “I love you” to each other, but deep down they are soulmates in the sense that one will carry the other bridal style back to their home so they can tend to the other’s injuries after their battle against each other. they are soulmates in the sense that they are the only one who can touch and hurt the other, and if anyone else ever dares to touch their property, all hell will break loose. they are soulmates in the sense that if one of them die, the other will follow them shortly after, simply because they can’t live without their archenemy who is their other half. they are soulmates in the sense that their blood, bodies and souls become one.
this is about DoomReed and Hannigram
Incorrect Hannibal pt.4
When Will asks "does God gloat?" he's basically asking Hannibal "do you gloat?" and that's insane, I love him canonizing that Hannibal is his god. Because you know, he had that conversation with Abigail where she was like "...are we talking about Hannibal or God?" and that whole God/Hannibal thing he had going on in his little philosophical contemplations in season 3 A.
It blows my mind that Will Graham went from innocent little empathy nerd in season 1
To cold hearted killer who served cunt like it was his god given duty
All for some of that cannibal sausage.
Hannibal s2e10 "Naka-choko"
i love people talking about hannigram in the way they're the same but also opposites. Which obviously is a theme in the show but i mean like,, how they're both completely delusional and unhinged in completely different way, yet somehow exactly in the same way
Like how they're both jealous, but when Hannibal is being jealous, he hurts Will to get his attention (sending Budge after him, sending Dolarhyde after him), while when Will is being possessive of Hannibal he holds vicious grudges against the people who have the audacity to get close to what's "his" (Randall Tier, Bedelia, Dolarhyde, etc). Hannibal is jealous of Will giving other people attention, while Will is jealous of other people giving Hannibal attention.
They're both very private people who crave connection, but while Hannibal uses his charisma to surround himself with people he holds at arms length because none are worthy to come closer, Will's failure to mask his own personality drives people away from him. Hannibal charms people so well they don't even realize they know nothing about him. Will's brashness and prickly personality is used to drive people away before they get to know him and leave anyway because they don't like what they see.
They both spend nearly the entire show lying to themselves. Hannibal trying to convince himself that his own feelings for Will aren't real and/or can't affect him, while Will is struggling with accepting his own capacity and desire for violence. Or how much Hannibal could be reigned in by Will and how much freedom Will could find in Hannibal.
This is not even mentioning how Will's plan to get revenge on Hannibal in season 2 is almost a direct parallel to how Hannibal betrayed Will in season 1: the friendship as a ruse becoming genuine, entrapment/framing, faking a murder (abigail/freddie), ending with the other in jail. It's even interesting how Hannibal regrets going through with his betrayal after the fact, while Will regrets it before the plan is completed and tries to stop it.
(I also think it's interesting how Will's encephalitis made him see things that weren't there while also making subconscious connections, while Hannibal's feelings for Will in S2 made him see what he wanted to see, and even miss several red flags.)
There's also the whole hunter vs fisherman dichotomy they have between them, with Hannibal stalking and hunting his prey while Will tends to wait and let the prey come to him, luring them in with what they can't resist. Both of them require patience and the wisdom to know when to strike.
i constantly think about that scene in hannibal s3 where will presses his hand against the glass. i think about how it probably left his handprint there and about hannibal looking at it and clinging on to it as his only reminder of will. and how maybe one day someone comes to clean the glass and he almost feels desperate enough to beg them not to clean it because it means that all that was left of will in his life would be gone.
One day, somewhere... —Hannibal and Will after jumping off the cliff
