There is a Collider article out today declaring IWTV number 1 in the list of "The 7 Most Perfect TV Dramas of the Last 10 Years". Every other cast member is mentioned except Assad, yet again. This is not the only publication to do so, and it has been happening for quite some time. I am so frustrated with this racist entertainment industry, you bet your ass I will continue to be loud and obnoxious about Assad's talent

Every now and then there are racist posts about Assad, and I think part of the reason many fans feel comfortable of that is because of how AMC treats him.

For the entire last year, they practically ignored Assad in every award discussion, even the SDCC didn't include him… And it gave racist fans even more opportunities to thrive. I've seen discussions on Reddit asking why Assad wasn't even considered for the Golden Globe or Emmy awards, and instead of criticizing AMC, many people were in denial. They came up with many excuses and even concluded that Assad isn't as good as Sam????

AMC is Assad's employer, and in the current political climate where racism and Islamophobia are rampant, they chose to sideline Assad. Armand's secret plot or whatever it is in ss3 has NOTHING to do with this problem, its just a convenience excuse to treat Assad like shit. And this fandom gaslights Assad's fans, saying we're overreacting, being toxic, and making it impossible for them to enjoy the show. Can't even imagine what this fandom will become in ss3. Its such a shame for a show with this much nuance about race have fans like these.
