It was pure luck that the road between them was empty of any oncoming traffic because the second he saw the young woman seated at the bench he couldn’t tear his eyes away from her—a vehicle plowing straight into him would feel like absolutely nothing—and it was all he could do not to stumble the rest of the way across the street. His destination is also in the complete opposite direction but that didn’t matter anymore either.
“Uhm…excuse me? Is—” He was about to ask ‘Is everything alright?’ but insecurity and common sense both chime in at the last second. Would she even want to talk to a COMPLETE STRANGER? God, maybe this was a mistake after all…
“Is…is the seat next to you taken? Or I can move to another bench nearby if you’d like! I uh…” The flaxen haired youth smiles awkwardly; the hand not holding onto the strap of his messenger bag rising only to scratch the back of his head. “I…can KEEP YOU COMPANY, if you want…? Oh, I’m Mell by the way, Mell Rhodes! It’s nice to meet you, miss…?”
When hearing the voice of the male it snapped her out of her lucid trance she quickly looked up at him and smiled ever so faintly. ❝ OH NO, go ahead and sit. You’re fine, it’s okay. ❞ She reassured him as she gestured with her hands for him to sit and a slight nod of her head. It’s not like she was waiting for someone, but perhaps she should move cause now she felt like she was taking up space.
❝ I’M not sure if I will be good company... but sure! ❞ Usually Molly was very bubbly and happy go lucky but she was too upset and embarrassed to really be herself at the moment. She figured he will get bored and end up leaving eventually. ❝ IT’S nice to meet you too, Mell. My name is Molly. ❞ Another faint smiled appeared as she bowed her head slightly.
❝ ARE you just getting off work or something? ❞ While they were both sitting her she figured she could at least make small talk in the meantime.

Upon hearing her laugh, Kensuke would slowly blink… for that was definitely not the response he had expected from him mocking her. Seriously, had what he said really been all that funny? “Am I now? That’s actually the first time anyone used that adjective to describe me,” Kensuke admits before playfully clicking his tongue and wagging his finger at her.
“Tsk, tsk! What a very bad girl you are, Molly-san! Seriously, offering alcohol to minors? Had I not known any better, I’d say you’re trying to corrupt a poor innocent boy like me,” he teases. Granted, it’s true Kensuke may have been only nineteen, but he was still under the legal drinking age in Japan; therefore, as far as society was concerned, he would continue remaining a minor until he turned twenty years old. Despite shaming Molly, though, he’ll still dutifully trail behind her, allowing his foot falls to rhythmically match hers with every step.
Molly really didn’t see it as him mocking her, and the way he spoke was just amusing to the point she always just chuckled at whatever odd thing he said. ❝ WELL there is always a first for everything! ❞ She shrugs simply while looking over at him with a simple smile. Despite the scare from earlier, she was actually have a decent day so it has her in a really good mood.
Gasping, she continued ❝ EH? minor?? I thought you were about my age! How old are you Kenny-kun?? ❞ Now she was trying to recall if they ever did exchange ages and she always just assumed Kensuke was older based on his demeanor. Now she was surprised and also a bit embarrassed. ❝ OKAY none for you then! Just smoothies. And maybe a burger because suddenly I’m hungry... ❞ The last part was suppose to be in her head but she ended up speaking it aloud.
A hand reached up to rub the back of her head as the embarrassment and shock still lingered, she continuing on to the little smoothie shack until it was a matter of time they finally arrived.

But interesting since you’re wearing such normal clothes but have those-- ❞ She points to his ears and gestures with her eyes to his tail. ❝ Who are you cosplaying as then? Unless.. it’s something else... ahh I’m jus so curious! They all look so real too... ❞ Now she was leaning in a little more just to get a better look. ❝ I want to touch so bad... ❞ That she mumbled quietly to herself while she nibbled on her lip, as her curiosity was burning inside her.

I love chill roleplay partners that don’t mind when you go mia for a while and totally understand that some weeks you’re just busy and some days you’re not even busy you just don’t want to deal with the world in general/don’t want to do a thing and who don’t think that just bc you haven’t talked in a week or two that means the plot is dead and who don’t need to be in daily contact with you to enjoy writing/talking/plotting with you and I love that when we finally have so time time to talk/rp we just pick up right where we left off and it’s never weird or awkward God bless u guys

Molly didn’t want to go out on this mystery date her co-worker set her up with but they were so persistent about it she ended up agreeing to it. Now she was beginning to wonder if they did this with cruel intentions to make a joke out of her. She should of realized. None of the girls at the cafe took a liking to her perhaps because she gets the most attention from customers. Sighing as she put her thoughts to rest, she sat there on the park bench swinging her legs debating what to do next. She waited long enough so that was out of the question but she couldn’t pull herself to get up. Seems she was just all around too bummed about the situation that it left her sitting there with an empty stare.

❝ I haven’t seen you around before. It’s rather late as well. You know we’re closing in 10 minutes... ❞ Molly was just about to start cleaning up when a straggler came wandering in. Perhaps they liked cats and wanted a pick me up after a long hard day? I mean what other reason would you be coming in so late to a cat cafe... Most of the cats are sleeping now from today’s adventures with earlier customers. But of course she wouldn’t refuse service, one last customer wouldn’t be too much more of a bother. Besides it meant more money in her pocket.
