i hoped the lack of buzz for the last of us s2 had to do with people taking a stance againsts zionism but it's probably just because the second game is bad innit

the thing is a huge part of the reason why the second game is so bad (at least it's a bad experience) is because it's a game that forces you to act and think in a zionist mindset of prioritising violent feelings over reality. when I played tlou 2, I maintain to this day that it was one of the most mentally unpleasant games I've ever played. you're consistently forced to enact violence with no context. the game deliberately withholds the context of Abby and Ellie's rage to create the equivocation and false equivalence of their emotional state. It tries to wear you down playing as both Ellie and Abbie so it can then push this idea of extreme violence being inherent to everyone. Like: oh look Ellie and Abbie both never thought they were capable of this and neither did you the player but here we all are, says Neil Druckman. But the thing is: What Joel did to the Fireflies totally warrants Abbie's actions. But Druckman does this very zionist thing of prioritising the feeling over the reality. The reality is that what Joel did doomed the world and resulted in Abbie's family dead. That's the tangible consequence. But Druckman is a zionist and so is the game so the actual reality doesn't matter. What matters is the feeling. Ellie and Abbie's FEELINGS of revenge are the same when you think about, says Druckman, nevermind that contextually they're not the same at all. But that's Zionism. Zionists love to do these emotional hostile takeovers where they do everything they can to make you prioritise feeling over anything else about a situation. And that's what that game forces you to do by playing as both Ellie and Abbie where all you're drip fed is their feelings of rage and barely any context. Listen to any Zionist long enough and you realise almost everything they talk about in relation to Palestinians are feelings. There's never any historical rigour. The game is bad because it's zionist and because it does the Zionist thing of forcing everyone and everything to centre ✨feelings✨ as the great justification and arbiter of reality, rather than reality itself. You simply cannot separate the game and/or by extension the show from zionist ideology and violence, and how Zionism justifies real world violence against Palestinians.
