Maybe more like 2 due to inactivity.

Oh god, Im going to make this sound so sad...hah. After months and months of trying to come back, get back my flare...I just don't have it anymore. It's become harder for me to sit down and do things like this. And especially since my interest has died down for Gen V. Its not to say I donr love it. I absolutely do. But Sword and Shield, Sky Children of Light and BNHA all have a tight grip on me and I just feel like Im leading people on.

So, with a heavy heart, I have to say I am archiving my blog.

I cant bring myself to delete it. All the people I've accumulated and met. Through this blog, I met some of my most beloved friends...its the blog that got the most followers after multiple failed attempts. It means a lot.

I will be making a new personal one for all sorts of things. Likely the name will be shiningstar-athena or AthenaAtDawn. Either way...see you then :)

“Zinzolin, I must ask of a favor of you.”

The violet sage looked up from his paperwork and gave a warm smile. “Shoot,” he said. “I have time.”

The king cleared his throat and began.

“N has invited Anthea to the Palace’s ‘Mine Craft’ server, but Concordia keeps putting TNT in Anthea’s house and blowing it up. It has been half an hour since and Anthea won’t stop screaming. Please find Concordia and talk her down.”

There was a moment of silence as the words slowly processed in Zinzolin’s head.

“I...will have to decline.”

“Why? Please, I urgently need your help.”

“Because Concordia also blew up my house and I fear her.”

A sigh.

“Alright...I will find someone else.”

Reflection (Drabble 18)

Ghetsis sat on the edge of his bed, polishing the Relic Crown. It was an ancient artifact from the first king of Unova and it was as if it not had aged a day. Or so it seemed. As he held it in his hands, he could see the huge scratch scarring one of the crown’s point from the attempted assassination of Alto, the Brave. There were also many minor and easily forgettable scratches from the time of Queen Cadenza, the Extravagant. She wore extra pieces of gold and silver along with the crown and the crown’s scars revealed how she positioned her jewelry on her head. It was if he held a piece of all of his ancestors in his hands. He could tell where each scratch and chip came from and who caused it. It was not hard once you sat down and analyze each one of his ancestors and their personalities. Each all so unique yet they all shared the same blood. Fascinating.

He placed the cloth down and planted the crown down on his head. It pushed down on his cowlicks, flattening the front one and making the sides droop. He did not mind. They were an easy fix. He stared at his reflection from his mirror across the room. It was if the reflection he saw was of another. He did not see himself whenever he wore clothes of silk and jewels.

He would never admit it to the public but he held a slight hatred for his birthright. He had dreams prior to gaining a full understanding of his position. He wanted to further his studies and become a historian for his family. With the extensive history of betrayals, bastards and love and lost...had he the time, he would have written books priceless considering the content hidden in it’s margins and lines. He wished to clear the mystery surrounding his exclusive family. Yet, he could not. Between his children, his lover and his duty as a King, it was hard to find any time to indulge in his passion.

Why him? Why did he have to be king? All for some old, faded genes and a uncommon surname? He wasn’t even legitimate! He sighed, taking off the crown and placing it aside. He looked much better without it on.

He reached up to the corner of his mirror and plucked a photo off of it. It was one of his first photos of his one and only son. A small smile crossed his face. Sweet baby N...the boy had an innocent view of the world around him and always saw the good in things. Wonderful traits to have as a person. Not so great for a king.

He had been holding back on exposing the now 15 year old on the evils of the world. It is why he refused to let him go on his Pokemon adventure. Yet, he could tell the boy yearned for freedom. As Ghetsis caved in, N would dig deeper and deeper, hoping to break his father down and get the freedom he so desired. Ghetsis felt a twinge of regret in his heart. Were they not royal, he would have considered it. But they were. N was the Crown Prince. Malicious people would want to ruin him physically, mentally or emotionally. He had no idea what he would see or do alone out in Unova and the mere thought of that shook him to his core. If he lost another of his loved ones....he had no idea what he would do.

15. N was 15. Soon, he would abdicate and pass the burden onto N. It felt cruel and unjust. Natsu did not ask for this. Ghetsis saw a lot of himself in his firstborn and, perhaps he was projecting but, he felt as if his son despised his set in stone future. He remembered feeling that way once. He would have liked to pluck the title of Crown Prince and perhaps give it to one of his daughters.

But passing the crown to one of his daughter brought another range of problems. Anthea would be brought to ridiculous standards merely for her resemblance of her grandmother, Queen Alma. The stubbornness and the skittish nature Concordia presented did not make her seem like a viable candidate either. Kaida wasn’t even an option. If he waited for her, he would be reigning for another two decades and her legitimacy was always in question due to her unnatural conception. It was a lot to consider. It wasn’t a headache he wanted to deal with just yet.

A knock at the door brought him away from his thoughts. “Mmmyes?” he murmured.

“A reminder that your meeting starts in 10 minutes, Your Highness!”

He grunted. Right. He had a two hour meeting to discuss Ghetsis’s future plans involving his children and his Vio. He had to set the foundation down to achieve what he had planned. It was a struggle but when it was all set and done, he and those involved would be much happier.

He picked up the crown and crowned himself. He glanced at the stranger in the glass once more before exiting his room. It would be worth it in the end. He just had to remind himself over and over to get him through these next two hours
