Dumbledore isn’t great... He is hugely biased and punishes Slytherin students who haven’t done anything. (You can not say every single Slytherin even the 11 year olds are evil). He also sent Harry to almost die how many times? Sure Snape is not a good person at all but neither is Dumbledore. Dumbledore is just in a better position.
