The end of the event.

It's May 1st. Thank you to everyone who has showed interest in this year's Harry Potter Omegaverse event.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find any fics or artwork that I could reblog for the event, but that's not to say there were none out there.

If anyone created anything, or has seen anything HP and omegaverse that they'd like to have reblogged, please let me know and/or tag it with #HPOmegaverse .

I have considered doing this event again later in the year, but I'm not sure if there would be any interest for it. If there is, PLEASE reach out to me and let me know. My Asks are always open!!

Otherwise, I hope to see you all again next Spring. I hope to have a better layout and more interact approach next time. (I'm the only one behind the scenes and I'm still learning and growing on how to host these events.)

Royalty / Courting

The Keyword for this day is: Courting

The royal court is in session and the prince or princess is in need. Or perhaps it is an arranged marriage between countries. The Chief’s son has abandoned their post in search of their true alpha or omega. The prince and the pauper, Cinderella, a masquerade. A fake king or an evil queen. The royalty troupe has endless possibilities.

Come and join SnarryBANG! and Reverse SnarryBANG!

Bangs are a collaboration; a fic writer or fanartist submits an idea, and someone likes that idea enough to claim the opportunity to work with the first creator!

Signing up means that you can submit art and/or fic, and that you will have access to claims. Not signing up means no access to claims. You can both submit and claim, and you do not have to submit something in order to claim something else!

What are the criteria? - Fanfic: 3000 words minimum, must be beta-ed. - Art: one work + one banner/cover minimum.

What type of art? Traditional: drawing, painting... or non-conventional:  pottery, felt art, fanmixes (6 pieces of music + cover), embroidery, dollhouses, podfic, original music... All visual art must be accompanied with a description.

Here are the options: This is both a regular and a reverse bang, meaning you can submit art and/or fic for claims. 1/ You can go the traditional route: submit your work and let people claim! 2/ You can already have a partner in mind, in which case both of you must fill the sign-up form and let me know who your partner is in a pre-arranged team.

The schedule: Signups & submissions open until May 21. Claims: right after. Posting: On/around Harry's birthday, depending on the number of teams. It should therefore start on July 31st!

Day 4: Fake Dating / Scent

Does your omega need an alpha all of a sudden to avoid yet another blind date? Perhaps your alpha needs someone on their arm to keep all other unwanted suitors away. When parents are trying to set them up with 'my neighbor's nice grandchild' one too many times. A fake SO comes in handy.

But what happens when fake dating turns into real dating?

Or when someone's scent is just a little more enticing than they excepted and they find they want to be dating for real instead of for pretend?

Arranged Marriage / Possessive Territorial

The Keyword for this day is: Possessive/Territorial

With pure bloods and muggle born, an arranged marriage may need to be in order to keep the bloodlines pure. Or perhaps it’s a  alliance between families, or even houses. The arranged marriage might be what makes the relationship work, or it might be what breaks it.

Day 2: Hybrid Creatures with Pack Dynamics

Wheater it's part human and part animal, a hybrid can be a creature of any combination. From wolf and man to catboys and bird people. Hybrids come in all different shapes and sizes. They also typically come in packs. But who is the leader, and who is the lowest member of the pack? What are their rules, and what is expected of them? How do you even get into a pack? Born into it, or earn the right to be included.

Bring your pack of hybrids forth and lets us see them.

Day 1: Canon with Possessive/Territorial

Every story has a beginning. We all know Harry's, Ron's, Hermione's, Draco's and so on. But what if things were just slightly different then we remember? What if they had certain dynamics that made life just a little more interesting, or difficult?

What if someone got a little too possessive or territorial? What if they needed to be?

Canon compliant isn't just for the story we all know and love, it's also for the Maurader's years. Or even further back into the years of Fantastic Beast. For the Post war years after Hogwarts. All all the years before, during and after.

Harry Potter Omegaverse Event!

Welcome to the 2023 Harry Potter Omegaverse Event!

This year will be a little different from previous ones. Due to RL circumstances (health issues and vacation.) keeping me from being more proactive, I have decided to extend the event for the entire duration of April. I am hoping it will encourage more participation as it gives everyone even more time.

This year's event will host seven AUs, as chosen by the survey posted in February. However, there will also be a short list of keyword prompts that can also be used as well. Keyword prompts can be incorporated to give more depth to the AU, or they can be used in place of the AU. Or ignore them altogether if you want. This way, you have more options to hopefully help inspire stories and artwork.

HP Omegaverse Schedule

The Harry Potter omegeverse week will be starting Monday, April 10th, and go until April 16th!

This year, instead of assigning keywords to each AU, I've decided to let them be a free-use. Meaning if you want, you can incorporate a keyword prompt to give more depth to the AU, or you can use it in place of the AU. Or ignore them altogether if you want. This way, you have more options to hopefully help inspire you for the week!

First, I am SO sorry for not getting this post out yesterday. It was Easter and I got a bit distracted. My apologies.

Free Day! The day you get to pick whatever you want to write about. Did your favorite trope not make the list? Was there one you wanted to explore? Today's the day to write it out! Have fun and Enjoy!

Day 6: True mate/Soulmate with Heat/Rut

From matching marks to dates on the skin. Soulmates come in all different types. Some find theirs, others might not.

Matching marks somewhere on the body. Their mate's first words etched across their skin. Heterochromatic eyes that change when they meet their soulmate or a name across the heart.

Perhaps they won’t know until they mate and bond with each other and a mental link is created. Perhaps their names are written in the stars and only a bonding bite will make them aware of being truemates.

A tiny voice inside their mind? Or a song they can’t get out of their head. So many variations for soulmates to pick and play with.

And will they discover their soulmate just in time for their heat or rut? Or will it happen afterward? Or perhaps during?

Day 5: Mating Run/Hunting with Mating/Bonding

And they're on the run!

A mating run or hunting can be anything from a sport, to a necessary way of life. It could be planned, or a sudden thing.

The real question is, is it the alpha chasing the omega? Or the other way around?

And of course, once they catch their prey, will they mate and bond with each other afterward? Or will they try to hold off for another time?
