One day they're gonna be seniors
Seiji and Nicholas are going to be the last standing leg of an old group of fencers. Harvard and Aiden had long moved on and their names nearly forgotten. Eugene's name is brought up occasionally by the juniors who Eugene made a good impression on. Dante and Bobby have stopped by as strangers to all but Nicholas and Seiji. The two are seniors now, they're the last link to their first fencing team and friends.
Ya'll can't tell me they wouldn't be co-captains and soon enough everyone knows, especially underclassmen, if you need something or you forgot something, tell Nicholas. But if you want advice and to get improvement through the truth, Seiji. It's a 'good cop' 'bad cop' scenario. Oh, and if you need to something in the late night or early morning when everyone's in their dorm, if it can wait, wait. If not, Seiji will answer the door and that poor boy will be stumbling over his words whilst a very grumpy Seiji stares him down.
Their beds are pushed together now, the duck curtain is back where it had been all those years ago, and the space is a lot more neater. The occasional shoe is randomly placed, but Seiji had inevitably rubbed off of Nicholas, as did he. On rare nights, someone listening might hear the muted roar of laughter coming from their room. Seiji's laugh, Nicholas says he has a laugh that fills the room.
Most of the kids can't understand why Nicholas Cox, a man with a beautiful heart and dazzling smile, is dating Seiji Katayama, still cold and frankly, mean and arrogant as ever. But the two don't really care about the whispers and eventually everyone realizes why. The only person to make that once isolated freshman, now senior, smile, is Nicholas. Sure, his smiles are more grin, but he's smiling, genuinely. Seiji is the only person who makes Nicholas feel loved, and is, in a way, a reminder of their start, and their future.
The two are in love, and when they fence everyone in the Salle knows it, the two of them are a team, but on the piste they are not two separate fencers, they are one. Many boys find their co-captains in their own little world, whispering secrets and making fun of each other. When they're together, everyone can't help to feel like they've stumbled upon two soulmates, who's story of how they fell in love had never been told. Everyone can't help to feel out in the cold looking upon the warm interior of a home called love.
