alfred: doesn't swear. sighs in disappointment when others do.

this includes fan fiction.

this includes fan art.

this even includes all the horrendous AI-generated shorts that have plagued the algorithms of tiktok, youtube shorts, and IG reels.

every time an "author" uses AI, an angel loses its wings.

but it's especially heartbreaking when you find people doing it on fanfic sites like tumblr, or wattpad, or ao3. part of what made the experience so wholesome was the understanding that you were reading something written from a place of passion with no monetary incentive involved.

now, it feels tainted. and it's getting harder and harder to tell the difference between original art and a stolen imitation.
